yes, its a very powerful film. though at times, it was a lot of style without much substance. but i enjoyed it.

That's six.. Tough to pick just five. I loved him in Carnal Knowledge and the Wtches of Eastwick as well.

I came on because I finally after all these years watched Five Easy Pieces on TCM. I really never knew much about it or had any interest to watch. As I watched the first 20-25 minutes I was so bored but nothing else was on so I thought ride it out. Well, by the end it was one of the best movies I've ever seen not to mention Jack's wonderful acting. I'm so glad I finished it. By the end, it dawned on me this is my Father. My Dad is similar to both Jack and the role he played here. Both my Dad & Jack and had a similar upbringings. He never knew his real parents and to this day is still a hippy or free spirit much like Jack. Like the character Robert Dupea, my Dad took off on me & my Mom and I had no contact with him for 35 years until I searched & found him. That said, I include this role as one of Jack's 5 best.
