But she's been getting a lot of awards traction lately!

No. What she got was yearly awards nomination for one movie; her first such recognition in 15 years! She hadnt gotten any awards or box office success since her prime.

Wow, someone takes their career down a notch to raise children and be an actual parent then losers call them a has-been? When Julia decides to do a movie, she gets critical praise and nominations. It's more or less that simple. The fact that a bunch of nobodys here can look at her 79 award nominations and still say she can't act baffles me. At what point does it stop being luck or coincidence to you idiots?

I would refer you to her supporting role in "The Normal Heart", the recent HBO drama. She did a convincing job playing a doctor, and I believe she was even up for an Emmy for this role. By no means is she a 'has-been'.

You're reaching. For one, she still looks the same as she did ten years ago so her looks certainly didn't fade and secondly, she was recently Academy Award and Emmy nominated? It's not as if she faded into obscurity like Renee Zellweger.
It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

She has aged gracefully (the hagged out look in Secret In Their Eyes was make up,done to fit the character)and is getting award nominations. Agreed she is not the huge box office draw she once was (that long sabbatical did hurt her) but she is still A list.

Agree with the others. I am NOT a JR fan by any mean5b4s. I've never liked her, esp. after the whole thing with her husband's ex.
But she has aged well. She looks better now than she did 10 years ago.

here's the more important question: who the hell IS a box office draw these days? movies are so expensive to go see, i feel like it's more about the genre then the actor.

The genre is what I mainly go nowadays since my childhood! Only the repeat times I've seen anything Julia Roberts in was in Hook, Mary Reilly, Ant Bully and Mirror Mirror!
