Especially since Harrison Ford is still doing action movies at 70. Men don't have to play Dad roles. Women get the shaft no matter how you look at it. Life sucks

It may have nothing to do with that.
I'm getting the feeling that they don't know what the hell to do in Hollywood. Maybe that's why they're recycling so much. Like Spider-Man: Version 100.
They can't come up with a perfect story to fit any character that Meg could play.
But, I'm glad we did get Kate & Leopold out of her. I like that movie.

Fade away? A bit dramatic. She just retired from films. Her movies are constantly on TV. It's impossible for her to fade away.

Meg's too old for the rom coms and there is nothing much else left for her outside of those fluffy type of films.
              Its that man again!!

One of her best acted roles was NOT a romantic comedy. So there is something for her. That's dumb.

I know she has made dramatic films. Very forgettable they are too or upstaged by the better dramatic actors!

Ouchie ,You don't like her much do you? It says right on IMDB she got a SAG nom for "When a man loves a woman". Flesh and Bone was also a good one.

When a Man loves a woman: Andy Garcia was good.
Flesh & Bone: Dull film, James Caan was good.
Courage under fire: I tend to remember Denzel more
Top Gun: Too many other star cast members and aerial shots for Meg to compete with.
I do not dislike her. She had a great run of romantic films/rom-coms. She herself realised that as she got older she needed to branch out1ebc, unfortunately her limitations were exposed. Those romantic films had a strong male lead and very good writing.

I miss her too. There was something about her movies that you believed. You'd walk in the theatre and get ready for a great rom-com.
I hope she stops nipping and tucking her face. I remember seeing her after the Russell Crowe thing and was surprised at what she did to herself. I googled what she looks like now and she looks a little better. You can't do much when you age. Cutting skin, botoxing, whatever doesn't make you look younger.

Funny you should mention them, Demi Moore has gone off the deep end and Madonna is so busy dating 20something yr olds its pathetic. I dont care how good their plastic surgery was. Looks are certainly not everything.

She's worth 45 million bucks and been dating John Cougar Mellancamp for years. She has a child. Maybe she just decided to give it up and do her own thing. Who needs to work when you're worth that much?
Rick Morranis did something similar. His career was doing great. He got out of acting and focused on family. And he's worth far less than Meg Ryan is. He was vocal about leaving acting while Ryan has been silent. That could indicate she plans on returning one day.
