I think that shot of Brooke is from
Endless Love
. Just stunning!
With the sexual aspect/dynamic of men and women, I can't really comment for men here and can imagine how frustrating it must for women to get NO across to them and what this means. This sexual part though, is pretty much the first and foremost base reason why men bother with women. The psychological aspect can at times be even more frustrating for men, where women in other areas are concerned.
I'd say that is why many women seek friendships with other males too, (be they gay or straight), as they find them less complicated than their female counterparts as well. This could be a bit of a generalization, yet I state it based on comments other females have made to me as well regarding their male friends.

I think that men want to be with women because of sex as well
I'm kind of over it now… not really looking for a guy anymore

If you can get some enjoyment and fun out of men who are interested in you, don't deny yourself that freedom and pleasure. You are your own person and independent. You can always turn the tables and use them. Many women think that men are going to make them whole and complete them.
I despise the
Jerry Maguire
movie….🤮

I get too attached if I have chemistry with someone
Right now I'm easily stressed and a man I had started seeing came on too strong too soon so I had to walk away

Hey, have you ever seen "Alice, Sweet Alice"? It's a creepy movie, kind of hard to categorize. Psychological horror, maybe? With some Catholic underpinnings. Kinda shrieky, but not in a bad way necessarily. It's an entertaining watch, for sure. Shields has a small, but essential, part in it.
I don't believe we have ever talked about this film before.
Sandy, the waitress from "Friday the 13th", plays a lady cop in it!!!

I have, many many moons ago. I don't recall being overtly impressed, but I may not have gotten the psychological aspects when I first saw it. It was released where I am under the title
Communion
.
The main things I recall is a woman getting stabbed in the knee and some fat dude buying it with a butchers knife. Come to think of it, this and
Deep Red
might make an interesting double.
I want to see
Final Terror
again first. I did re-watch
Madman
about a month ago and found it very entertaining.

Yeah, the lady is walking down the stairs and the killer jumps up and stabs her a bunch of times in the foot and it is really pretty shocking. One of the more memorable scenes in the film. The fat man is a repulsive, though wholly memorable, character. Blech!!!
"Madman"!!! I will always be grateful to that movie for giving me that one solid belly laugh! I don't ask for much!

Yes!!! What WERE the writers thinking?!?!? Was it the result of some last minute change in the script? And what did the actress think when she first heard that she was going to try and hide from the killer by climbing into a refrigerator?!?!

It was pure absurdity, in a film that was playing it straight for the most part. Or they just wanted to enhance how stupid the character really was. She had a cute bf and she was as girly and as childish as Orson Gimp's playground obsessions.

Very nice! The suppressed laugh is both painful and delightful an experience, with an emphasis on the latter. Is it too long a story for you to be able to tell it on here?

It was really only an insider joke thing. I still have a bit of an ulcer from the gum biting. I had no choice, I didn't know what else to do apart from leave the room and that wouldn't have looked good at all in front of a guest speaker.
I had a fair bit of driving to do that afternoon and it was great to have that time to release it all out while hooning around on quiet roads…..
