I remember a few years prior to her first marriage Brooke Shields was still claiming to be a virgin (she was in her late 20's at the time). Then she finally admitted that she had sex in college (with Dean Cain?). If someone really is uninterested in sex, then s/he/it shouldn't have it. Still, I wouldn't go around bragging about being a virgin if I werean outwardly well adjusted person in her late 20's- it's not a disgrace, but it also doesn't make you more virtuous
I agree with that. I'm still a virgin but I do not brag about it or am ashamed about it. It's like there are only 2 positions: either you're shocked because it's weird to still be a virgin past your 20s, either you are proud because you are doing some sort of religious promise. I think all that purity rings thing is crap. Who cares if you are a virgin or not?? You shouldn't have more or less 'prestige' because of that. -

Its not that there is something wrong with having sex, its just people shouldn't put down others who have not had sex yet. Just like people make the choice to have sex, there are others who choose not to. Either way is ok. I would admire someone more if they were themselves rather than doing what everyone else expects them to do.

There's nothing wrong at all, it just seems strange someone that attractive and famous wouldn't already have had sex at 22.
I could see it if she wasn't famous: she's tall, muscular and strikingly beautiful, so many guys would feel kinda intimidated to attempt a move at her for some time, and maybe if she's picky at choosing boyfriends it would also made a bit of sense. But given she's been exposed to sexuality since so young, and given she grew up in such a sexualised enviroment such as tinseltown, it's kinda surprising, not in a bad way at all.
In fact, I would see it in a good light, someone that hot to have waited for the right time and sticked to its own morals despite the influence of her enviroment, that makes her a special woman, smart and sensible, something rare for Hollywood products.
Btw, even if she actually lost it late at high school, it would still be a small victory given she was probably hit-on by guys since 12, still a determined woman.

I am 43 and still a virgin. I feel the same way that you do about it. I feel it is better to wait. I didn't know Lisa Kudrow was a virgin when she got married; good for her. Any other celebrities who stand for good moral values?

43, now that's shocking. I see no big deal in young twenty-somethings waiting and all, but if you haven't done it by 43 either you can't or you won't, but good moral values seem a weak excuse by then, since in a couple of years you won't be able to have kids and stuff, it just keeps getting harder when time passes by. Are you sure you don't have other motives for remaining a virgin, like being gay, or being asexual, or hating men, or just can't find any guy at all?
I think it's unfair to put more pressure on you, but reevaluate your true feelings about it, just a sane advice from a guy that means no harm at all.

So what?? Is there a rule that says that you have to lose your virginity before 20?? I'm 23 and I'm still a virgin. I don't know why some people are so shocked about other people being virgin at 20.
Jmpeee
, don't think that all the people who are virgin at 20+ are die-hard believers. For example, I do not believe in God, so religion is not the reason why I'm a virgin. And I'm not a prude, either. I am perfectly fine with people having sex just for kicks. I wouldn't do it because I am too much of a romantic to do that, but I do not have a problem with other people doing it. I'm still a virgin just because I've never had a boyfriend, and I wouldn't like my first time to be a fling, a one-time thing with a person I've just met at some randon club. I would like it to be with someone I'm in love with, and not just for the pure physical pleasure, I would like feelings to be attached to it. -

"Because all serious actors are SL*TS!
Come on!
Shes a normal person as well.
There is a line between her fame life and her private life."
Yeah, no kidding!
. I think it's cool she held out for a while even though she regrets it (I think
that's
stupid).
