It is a little shocking I suppose but I think being that close to sex and being that open to it made her realize she didn't need it. A lot of youth have sex because they are curious and no nothing about it, if your parents and education system are open to teaching you it, it's no longer taboo and something 'cool' to do. And just because she 'looks' like she would have had sex or is a sex symbol doesn't mean she did. I am told often that I look 'sexy' but that has nothing to do with me being sexual, they are too very seperate things. You can be sexy and not have sex, the two are not connected at all.
I lost my virginity when I was 18, my final year of highschool, but it was sexual assault (now that made me not want to have sex for awhile, but a lot of therapy makes you get over that fear. Or it did in my case). My only partner since then I've broken up with. Would I go back and have not had sex with him? Probably, I mean, it would save a lot of stress afterwards finding out he cheated on me and having to go get STD screenings and HIV tests, but that doesn't mean I'm going to not have sex with my next serious relationship because I'm afraid it's going to end badly. It has just taught me to be smarter about it and not feel like it is a 'must' in every relationship past a certain point. Now I realize you don't HAVE to do it after you've been dating for so long.
I have no issue with people saving themselves until marriage, nor do I have an issue with people having sex casually. Neither are good nor bad morals, they are choices that are nobody's business besides the people involved. I have an issue with people who have had sex telling people who haven't that they should or people who haven't that the people who have are sluts or immoral. It's their choice and if you want yours to be taken seriously, accept other people's.
Brooke's part in Pretty Baby, for me, I've only gotten part way through, but is so far pretty good. It's difficult to watch for me since, I know she was so young during filming, that is makes me uncomfortable to watch it. But her acting in parts is amazing and then in other parts is wooden. I haven't gotten through the whole thing though, only to the point where she says 'I love you' to the photographer and it's in the form of some little rhyme. -

Yeah why does everyone think you got to have sex really young (14-17) to stay cool or whatever.Nothing is wrong losing your virginity at 22 ,that's a good age.Just because everyone else is having sex doesn't mean you should do it because everyone else is..that is dumb.

This entire thread is an example of how retarded society is.
If you haven't had sex when you are 22, you are not ok.
Sex you should do because you want to. Not because your bad friends tell you to do it or you ain't cool anymore.
I'm 28, male, never had a girlfriend. I'd want one though. But nobody wants me. And certainly nobody that I want. Hah. so screw all that. Life sucks, most humans suck too. Glad I don't have to deal with alot of them.
Your point is you should have sex because you want to regardless of having a relationship?
I'm a 22 year old virgin but I have an extremely low sex drive.
I do want a boyfriend though. Partly because of the social stigma of never having a romantic relationship but I mostly just want one. The problem is I am extremely shy around any guy I find attractive. I dated an unattractive guy for a while but he didn't drink and I needed to be drunk to touch him. After that, I was so annoyed with dating I stopped trying. Now I'm happier than ever because I stopped caring. I just play xbox for all my free time. I might be a huge loser but I love my life. -

Just because she was raised to be not ashamed of her body, that does not mean she would be promiscuous. The fact that you draw a direct link between sex and nudity says more about you than it does about her.

Just because 22 is the age she is willing to admit to in public, doesnt make it true.
I know plenty of people who lie about the age they lost their virginity.
I could tell you I lost it at 22 when I really lost it at 11, you wont have any way of knowing if either is true.
I once dated a girl that told me she was a virgin until she was 18; it wasnt until years later she admitted that she had actually lost it at age 6 (rape) and than consensually at age 12, but neither age was socially acceptable so she lied to anyone she doesnt know well and says 18. She also admited she'd have lied and said 21 if she could get away with it, but she'd had a kid at 19 so no one would have believed 21. -

Just because her sorry excuse of a mother allowed her images to be sexualized at a young age, doesn't mean Brooke is promiscuous. I just thank God she wasn't raped as a child with all those Hollywood pervs around.

Comedian Gallagher once joked that her name sounded like a deterrent to having sex. "I was hoping to score, but she was wearing her brook shields."
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
