She's filming some documentary about her ancestor who fought in the Civil War in my town of Manassas, Virginia. She came to the golf course that I work at with her entourage of camera crew and whatnot. The golf course is historic because a battle was fought on the land during the Civil War. She looked absolutely gorgeous and couldn't have been more down to earth, she also gave me an autograph and took a picture with my boss. I talked with her camera crew a little bit and they were all very interesting people as well.

She 'worked' with me for a couple of days when I was a zookeeper at the San Diego Zoo, and she was the sweetest, most down-to-earth person ever. She was also stunningly beautiful. I also have some pics that she took with us even though she wasn't really supposed to. The old guys who I worked with in those days (early 1980's) were in awe of her and were shy about talking to her, so I went up to her, put my arm around her waist and said "No wonder everybody tells me I look like you!" - I'm a 4' 10" tall woman and my shoulder barely reached her waist and she cracked up! The guys couldn't believe I had the nerve to do that, but she loved it!

I met her on two different occasions. First time was at a Bob Hope show back in 1986 at Pope AFB. It tool 4 days to film an 90 minute show. The first 3 days there were just about 100 airman there. Brook would come out and socialize with us between takes. It was very nice of her to do this. There were several other movie stars there that wouldn't come out to meet us. Barbara Mandrel also was very nice and visited us.
The second time was in Davenport Iowa. We were in line to see Mobsters. Return to the Blue Lagoon on at the same theater. Brook and her mother were right behind us in line. They were going to see the Return to the Blue Lagoon. (She was in the Blue Lagoon). While we were waiting the manager came out and escorted them into the theater. My girlfriend and I ran into them again when we were leaving. I got a nice smile and nod from her as she was leaving. I was just surprised how low keyed they were. No one noticed her really until the manager called her by her name when were waiting to go in.
