I think it's inspiring when people go after their dreams. She doesn't sound delusional, she knows that because of her age she can only hope to play at the lowest level of professional tennis. But she's going for it anyway, which is fantastic.

I know she is. Take it from someone who has played at the college Division I level. Most of the professional women players range in age from 16-30 (men is more like 19-30). Once you hit 28-29 you are considered "elderly" for both men and women professional players. Sorry for my rant but good luck to her if she decides to do this. Miracles have happened though.

That alone will make it very difficult for her. Justine Henin and Martina Hingis are considered short, and they are 5'6". Can you imagine trying to return serve from women who are over 6' tall, like Sharapova and the Williams sisters?

Well we've never seen her play tennis before. It would be really interesting to see her play the challenger level tournaments and bigger ones (if she gets ranked high enough). It would also be interesting to see her play challenger-circuit level players (top 100-1000) as well as the top ones - someone like No.1 Justine Henin! I wish Liz all the best!

I think she knows her own age, and probably knows that even the lowest level at pro tennis is too much for her. Maybe she only wants to feel the court by herself, maybe win some matches feeling in a way what is a pro tennis player. It's fun and healthy, and if you have idle time.. why not???? Why not , man???
