Yep, otherwise she wouldn't take his balls out of her purse.

I agree that his Oscar should be revoked.
He must really think he's somebody to be able to interrupt this event and pull a stunt like this on national television.
Personally, I think he's washed-up. Sure, he's still working but he doesn't seem to have the relevance that he had 15 or 20+ years or so ago.

He's in his 50's now, so his career trajectory is bound to take a different path as it does with all stars.
I just don't see any other option to get a message across to him with not keeping his attitude in check, especially since Rock won't press charges. He didn't come across as subdued enough to me and really had nothing to celebrate on the night and let down those that chose to vote for him.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

          Agreed.
When did he accept his Oscar? What it before or after he caused a scene?

It was about 20mins after apparently. Rock was presenting for docos.
Smith shouldn't have been given the privilege of accepting an Oscar win. He should have been removed by security and there was plenty of time to take him backstage.

              Wow…
I completely agree. He should have been removed by security and sent home.

I read that there wasn’t enough time for Academy officials in the audience to have a meeting and make a decision on what to do before best actor announcements.
Surely this was an obvious security and safety call. Smith could’ve arched up again for all they knew.

Yeah, I wouldn't think 20 minutes would be enough time for a meeting of any kind, lol. Although, I still would have had security escort him out. This would have delayed the announcement for the Oscar winner. Imagine if he couldn't have even been present to accept his "award" because he was sitting in time-out
I remember there being some sort of scandal with a Miss American pageant contestant back in 2006 (?) and Donald Trump held a press conference to discuss whether or not she was going to retain her crown. It wouldn't surprise me if
                  someone
calls for a reevaluation of this scenario with Mr. Smith. If enough people push back, there probably will.

He didn’t need to be present, not all nominees attend the show, and no-one is supposed to know the results except the ballot counting firm.
Smith was a predicted sure-fire winner though. They wanted him there, but this call should not have needed a hierarchy one.
If Rock had pressed charges, how shaming for teary Will to be arrested on stage while giving his confused speech.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Not gonna happen. They will have a 'teachable moment', cry out against negative black stereotypes and, to celebrate, have BLM loot the local Target stores all over America.

He got to keep the Oscar but got a 10-Years-Ban from attending the Oscars 🙄
