why are people trying to make the oscars give awards to black people who don't deserve the award. why are you guys trying to corrupt the oscars and turn it into a political arena where they have to bow down and give oscars to black people not for truly winning them but simply so that people don't call the oscars racist.
is this what black people want? for the oscars to be another bowing down ceremony where they are mandated to give out a few awards to black people every year so they aren't labelled racist?
will smith you will never win an oscar, and you didn't deserve to be nominated for one, ever. you are a terrible actor. you are no where near the likes of forrest whitaker and denzel washington. you didn't win or get nominated because you are a wishy wash bubble gum actor. yes, the highest paid actor in hollywood but thats it. when people think of legendary actors you are nowhere on that list. legendary actors are robert de niro, denzel washington, al pacino, morgan freeman. etc.

Are black actors after token awards?is that was this is all about?surely you get nominated because of your performance and not the colour of your skin?talk about blowing things out of proportion - there are more important problems on the planet than whether Will Smith etc get a gold star for "acting"get your heads out of your ar5es.

it is all about token awards. spike lee, jada pinket smith, all these people are pissed because its's too many white people winning oscars and being nominated and not enough black people. it's already begun ( the political transition of the oscars), from giving out awards to great performances, to what it will be now: each year they are going to have 2-5 GUARANTEED oscars for black people, regardless of performance. they will require themselves to give these out just so they aren't labelled racist. it's sad.

The fact that Will Smith was nominated for an Oscar (a few years back .) ~ an honor that only a few in the industry will ever receive ~ just seemed to piss him off more. I can remember that when he was being interviewed on some of the entertainment news shows (shortly after the nomination), his response wasn't anything along the lines of .. Wow! I'm so excited. This is my first nomination. What an honor . etc., etc.
To the contrary it was an immediate: I don't have a chance to win since the majority of Academy voters are 'white' and they tend to vote for 'other whites. Of course he contradicted himself, as there have been a number of African Americans who have won Oscars - i.e. meaning that there had to be quite a few "White" voters who voted for them. Will comes across as an entitled, spoiled, narcissist. He doesn't deserve to win !!!!!
FYI MR SMITH: There are plenty of A-Listers who have never even been nominated, let alone been Oscar winners. Be thankful for what you have, Mr Smith, as the majority of people on this planet will never be able to afford your over-privileged, undeserved lifestyle.
