Ive seen Lincoln three times and can safely say its one of his most mature and though provoking films. His loss was a tragedy but Kushners loss was a abomination. How that screenplay didnt win the oscar is just beyond me. I have a bad feeling if they went the classic biopic route and added more pathos instead of the wonderful restraint Spielberg showed, it might have won everything. beep the middlebrow academy.

As much as I loved
Lincoln
and Day-Lewis' fantastic performance, Spielberg deserved at least a nomination. Ben Affleck was more robbed for
Argo
, who failed to get a nomination.
