I'm not about to hold my breath, waiting for that response… I believe that he has many of us blocked.
Most of us just enjoy responding to his idiotic posts. Those who are not blocked can go Fuck themselves!!!

why does sly think he is credible as an action star tough guy at 75 years old? this is embarrassing.
More like:
Why does Luke think he is credible as a guy who can't get the ladies at 44 years old? this is embarrassing.
Embarrassing because all he does is choke his chicken to hot actresses and criticizing older celebs and asking why their career ended.

i always go back to the great line and clip of richard roeper saying about arnold there comes a time which for him was about 20 years ago where an action star looks ridiculous running after 20 years old when he is in his 60s or 70s. i mean just think about it it's not in any way realistic or even possible in real life thus it's horrible and embarrassing to sly.
i mean even jackie chan slowed down and showed he was too old to be an action star by about 10 years ago in the karate kid remake as the old karate teacher and not action star.

Nerds like roeper always say stuff like that. They're wrong. You could put sly and arnold in wheelchairs and they'd still be better action guys a million times over than sorry ass dwayne johnson and all the other action star hacks. You could have them holding an M60 at 90 years old and I'd still watch that over Dwanyne 'The Hack' Johnson.
Most of Arnold's post governor movies like Last Stand, Escape Plan & Expendables 2 & 3 have all seen him kicking ass and taking soy names. Same with Sly. These guys should be doing action films until they can no longer move. -

i'm the biggest fans of both but even i know they are too old to be action movie stars. at this point it's embarrassing to the to continue this. and in some way it damages their legacies.
there is a very good reason why until them we had never seen an action movie star in his 60s or older. it's bc it's unrealistic to the point of absurdity.

Well, Sly has said he's all but retired from action movies. His body is too beat up from multiple surgeries. That, and the betrayal from those 2-bit hacks Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan, who have hijacked his franchise like the no talent thieves they are, which means you'll never see him as Rocky again, and Last Blood was the final Rambo.
Me personally? They could make an action movie where they drag around Sly and Arnie's corpses just like Weekend At Bernie's and I would STILL rather watch that than all the action films out right now and to come. Those guys should keep going well into their 80s. They should keep going til they collapse. I don't want to think of a world without these guys. -

what wrong did michael b jordan do to sly? i see your point and appreciate it and actually agree with it in a way and also halfway bc i abhor any action movie with the rock who has zero personality and is the same in every single movie which proves he's a bad actor who is also a lazy actor.
and i cant think of 1 young actor in action movies who deserves to be an action movie star with the exception of maybe a handful like jason stathan.
i thought he just said he's thinking of making another creed movie so that means he'll be rocky again?

Him and Ryan Coogler have taken over the Creed franchise and effectively written Sly out of his own creation. I think they offered Sly a token cameo in the next movie, kinda to get him to go away, and Sly was really upset by his treatment by them. While Sly effectively created Rocky, he doesn't own the rights to the franchise, the original producer Irwin Winkler does. He's powerless to stop them dumping over his series (though apparently the third creed movie is faltering without sly's involvement and has been delayed).
Sly also posted a now deleted rant on his instagram where he said he felt betrayed. Apollo Creed is Sly's creation, it's his series, and they're acting like it's theirs. Creed is basically a remake of Rocky - it uses all the same characters and beats. I'd be devastated too.
What's also a shame is that Sly said that Dolph Lundgren betrayed him as well by taking a role in the film without telling him first. He basically said they were no longer friends. It's crap to see your heroes falling out like that.
i abhor any action movie with the rock who has zero personality and is the same in every single movie which proves he's a bad actor who is also a lazy actor.
You said it all. Absolutely spot on. The Rock epitomizes everything bad about modern action movies. Him and Vin Diesel and the others. Just a black hole of talent.
and i cant think of 1 young actor in action movies who deserves to be an action movie star with the exception of maybe a handful like jason stathan.
I like Statham, too. He's like Arnold Schwarzenegger compared to the rock. It was cool Sly took him under his wing in the Expendables movies. Their pairing made those movies good to watch. -

back in the '80s we had seemingly unlimited sources of very colorful, enigmatic, fun, witty, clever, very memorable to the point where we will have lasting memories of them til we die of action movie stars.
each of them were very unique and sperate from each other bc of their uniqueness: we had the toughest and baddest ass and unstoppable force of arnold. the cheeky, self deprecating sometimes, but other times razor sharp, super focused, very tough sylvester. the karate fighting chuck norris who had a no nonsense attitude and line delivery.
the chop socky, hilarious humor and very lovable personality, brilliance in his acrobatic, breath taking real stunts, mind numbing and blurring vision quickness of movement and very unique style of kung fu of jackie chan.
the kickboxing, slow motion, multiple shots repeating(yeah sounds dumb but it was always awesome and always looked and felt awesome and intense and exciting) and pretty boy acting and looking, but deep down good guy and just cocky, very heroic jean-claude van damm.
then we had the very refreshing fighting style of hapkido, ju-jitsu, and judo and very relaxed, very confident to the point where he isn't afraid of anyone, and serious acting and looking personality of steven seagal.
then we had someone very authentic and very original looking and talking with his exotic foreign accent in dolph lundgren who was very intimidating in rocky 4 but still somehow lovable even though he was one of the most hated villains in action movie history.
he was so great in rocky 4, and in universal soldier. my favorite of his: showdown in little tokyo.
one of my favorites in the '80s was michael dudikoff. he made a great, everlasting memorable and lovable character in american ninja and american ninja 2: the confrontation. part 2 is one of my all time favorite movies. and steve james made one of the best characters in action movie history in part 1 and part 2.
in america we had so many colorful, lovable action movie stars to watch and love in the '80s. it truly was a once in a lifetime time in movie history which we will never see ever again.

Stallone is number 1 for me. Mostly because I like his acting, he can show emotion as well as kick ass. Arnold is also great. Chuck Norris is underrated, I like all his movies, especially his cannon ones.

Yeah, all great movies. Dolph's best acting was in Universal Soldier. He stole the show in that movie. I think Universal Soldier was one of the last great 80s-style action movies that came out.

Dudikoff is great. Avenging Force is a good one.
Are you a fan of Bruce Willis?

Yeah, watching their movies saves us from a world of dwayne johnson, vin diesel and female action heroes. -
lukejbarnett — 3 years ago(August 31, 2022 02:48 AM)
ha ha i just watched avenging force for the first time a few months ago. not a bad movie. it was not in the stratosphere of american ninja or a n 2 though but what is as far as am 2?
hey i finally watched action jackson about a year ago and wow this is a great action movie now not a classic but as close to a classic as you can get.
what i loved and appreciated about it is finally, finally carl weathers got his own action movie where he is the star and when he was still in his prime when he still looked young and great and very heroic and very strong physically. i love that bc of this film he is an actin movie legend. c every a m legend needs a leading role, star vehicle in an action movie.
do you love this movie? do you love carl weathers as an action movie star?
bruce willis is my favorite hollywood actor of all time.
yeah woke **** nowadays in every movie.
so did you like me grow up in the '80s and watch these impressionable action heroes in these classic films?
you're right bc something happened in 1993 the year after universal soldier where action movies started lacking a lot. thank goodness for jackie chan's emergence in america in 1996! he saved action movies for a few years at least.
it worked for arnold being an action movie star bc his roles never required much emotion or acting. he just kind of was brooding and the quiet hero. so it never hurt his movie or roles until he got to a movie he had to really act in the movie; the 6th day his worst movie.

Yeah I enjoyed Action Jackson. Carl Weathers is charismatic & likable, I would've liked to have seen him do more films (he should've been a star in the 80s instead of Eddie Murphy who was mega huge but came across as a snarky wise ass). I think it failed because it wasn't marketed properly, and iirc critics trashed it and the gratuitous violence.
Yeah, I grew up with these classic action films. Love most of them as along as it has arnie, sly, dolph, jcvd, chuck, seagal etc in them.
you're right bc something happened in 1993 the year after universal soldier where action movies started lacking a lot.
Yeah it wasn't until the expendables came out that action movies started getting good again. I've liked most of the arnold and stallone films since.
the 6th day his worst movie
I thought that was ok. I've never been able to finish End of Days. That sucked. -
lukejbarnett — 3 years ago(August 31, 2022 07:00 PM)
but didn't the expendables have the rock? yeah so weird how weathers didnt have a follow up action movie to action jackson wonder why his career ended right after his first leading role action movie?
everything about this film is great. it has the luscious and impossibly beautiful sharon stone when she was her best looking in a movie ever. and the scorchingly hot and extremely beautiful vanity. and a very kickass and badass (surprisingly for both)and very epically great and legendary bad guy performance from craig t. nelson.
never seen him in this kind of role ever. he played his role perfectly he is menacing and intimidating and completely believable.
too bad weathers was never as badass and tough as he was in predator in any other movie.

The rock wasn't in Expendables, I think Sly intended it to just be old school guys or guys under the radar. The rock would've ruined that. There was a few guys who turned down the expendables like Kurt Russell. Also, you'd think Carl Weathers would be in Expendables instead of Terry Crews but he had a falling out with Sly about his image being used in Rocky V.
Yeah, I agree with everything you said about Action Jackson. It's a decent action film. -
lukejbarnett — 3 years ago(August 31, 2022 09:10 PM)
its wrong how terry crews was in it bc hes not in the in the same universe of action movie as all the other guys.
i mean crews is not even an action move actor hes a kind a serious maybe but mostly funny guy with muscles.
also ronda freaking rousey is in part 3 so is that where you checked out of this series where this series jumped the shark?
so what year were you born in? i was born in 1978. this is an important thing bc it will tell me if you really grew up with '80s stuff or just caught the tail end of the '80s like '88 or '89.
