That's true for the most part. I was different because I had a really good local video rental store, not that blockbuster shit, a real family owned business. Thousands of vhs titles across a big store. Loved going there every weekend. 99% of videos rented were 80s (I consider films from 90/91 more or less 80s movies, since they were written or filmed in the 80s).
Same with music. All I heard was 60s-80s music. No time for 90s shit grunge.

now while i generally dislike talking politics bc its so divisive and fight encouraging and destructive of friends and family and people in general to talk it when someone agrees with me like you i like talking politics.

suddenly everyone everywhere was talking political in a very aggressive combative way. politics used to be in the background it didnt ever strike into my life but ever since trump ran for president in 2016 it has been front and center and outspoken and right in my face i couldn't avoid hear about it anymore even if i tried. geez. wtf happened this is horrible bc it divides people this whole rhetoric of the parties fighting and politics in general divides people.
i heard all the divisiveness between republicans and democrats started when obama was president. but i never felt it then i guess bc i didn't follow politics at all until about 2 years ago and only bc of the pandemic.
yeah critical race theory a racist thing is beyond inappropriate and harmful to children. it states that if you are white you are the perpetrator against black people and if you are black you are a victim of racism from whites that all whites take away opportunities from black people.
this is a highly destructive thing to children. young child who are not teens don't even think about race. this is separating them emotionally from each other bc the whites are feeling guilty and distancing themselves form black out of guilt and the blacks are distancing themselves from the while bc they feel they've been treated wrong. and it separates them just out of principle of the whole thing; in general.

I agreed with everything you said here. We're in deep **** with CRT stuff. As I said, there needs to be resistance to this stuff. Parents need to take their kids out of schools that teach this if need be. It will be a grim future if CRT is pushed on young americans. It's not fair.
