Can you name other bad directors besides him?

I wouldn't call Robert Altman a "bad" director. I would call him unorthodox or unconventional. His movies are not for everyone's taste, but he does know how to direct and elect fairly good performances from his cast. Most of his films deal with simple topics as a multi-character studies; too many subplots happening at the same time can make a simpler viewer lost in trying to pay attention. From his epic hits such as Nashville, or Short Cuts, to Ready To Wear, have many big name Hollywood stars, but they have little to work with aside from appearing in them. Many of his films are in fact more boring then bad.
The real thing I have against him is that Robert Altman was a left-wing liberal who wanted to make films HIS way and not by anyone else's way. I am a right-wing conservative for I was raised that way by my parents and grandparents and so on. Altman was a regular marijuana smoker and an activist who wanted to legalize pot; I'm a by-the-book person strongly against any legalizing of any drug or narcotic. If pot was legalized, what's next? Cocaine? Heroin? LSD? PCP?
He is better then any bad director, but not as good as the top Hollywood directors of the past or today. -

That really is a terrible thing if an artist wants to realize his personal vision; maybe you would have also liked to wrestle the brush away from Picasso in order to complete his paintings according to your preferences - or according to what some committee may have wanted to see there? And what does being liberal or conservative even have to do with artistic freedom?

He has to have mnay subplots going, so at at least some of them will stick. It's like taking 10 rolls of films, and surely one shot will be excellent.
All the following were critical failures:
HEALTH
A WEDDING
STIGGS
POPEYE
..and more. What, was he at lunch and the assistant director was at the helm?
Boring films, which doesn't mean the viewers lack taste, but just dislike boredom. -

Twenty three replies and no further response from OP. Therefore the OP is just another troll posting a negative and/or provocative post. These appear on nearly every board, "This film/actor/actress/director is the worst ever", "Is this actor/actress/director gay?" Don't respond to these, d'oh, I just responded!
