What is she like in real life?

I saw that, but I had a hard time working up too much sympathy for the arduous life of a movie star. ("I specifically asked for SOY i2000n my latte. Where's my agent!").

I'm afraid that I've never actually seen the movie myself. Many films such as this never make it to the UK, either as theatrical releases or as a video/DVD. The format in Europe is PAL-R2 rather than the American NTSC-R1, which makes importing a copy from overseas both expensive and useless if you don't have a multi-format machine.
Still, from what I understand much of this dialogue was meant to be ironic rather than an accurate representation of 'diva-ish' behaviour. I recall what was said at a recent 'roast' of Joan Rivers: "The 'diva' is what you call the beep when she's still in the room with you!". I have no reason to doubt the truth of this.
As a matter of interest, Rosanna had a legal battle in the UK when the 'News Of The World' published photos of her looking rather sick and haggared, and then ran them over a story claiming that she had developed a serious substance-abuse problem. When this notorious tabloid refused to retract, she took action against them. You will be pleased to learn that Rosanna took them to the CLEANERS in court! -

It's amazing what depths the tabloids will stoop to to sell papers. Years ago, they ran stories claiming that Tom Cruise was gay. He gave them both barrels. That kind of thing can ruin a career.
The "Debra Winger" movie was interesting as a behind the scenes look at the industry. And I suppose actresses have their own set of unique problems (it's actually a rough business) but as I said previously But I've always liked Rosanna in most of her movies. She's beautiful, vulnerable and slightly crazy (see "After Hours"). Cheers.

As a matter of interest, the 'South Park' episode which featured Nicole Kidman pleading for Tom to 'come out of the closet' WAS voiced by Nicole herself. I just thought that you might like to know. To be be quite frank, I find the media's attitude totally incomprehensible. For years they alleged that both Tom and Nicole were gay and their marraige was merely a sham. They dug and dug and found nothing. Then, after the pair divorced, Nicole Kidman DID 'come out of the closet' in relation to her sexuality. No, she's not gay, she's a bondage and spanking fetishist. Check out Nicole's interview in the December 2009 issue of Britain's 'GQ Magazine'. She just admits to it like it's the most everyday thing in the world. I thought that the tabloids would REALLY go to town when the news broke, but they didn't even bother to mention it. Nicole's 'coming out' just slipped past them and into the ether.
On a far sadder note, the tragic death of Adrienne Shelly was 'tabloid fodder' in New York City, but it failed to receive any national media attention. Those few who have heard of Adrienne's death usually trot out the urban myth that she was beaten to death in her apartment by a member of a renovations crew after a noise complaint became heated. The reality is far more sinister. The man - a 19 year old Ecuadorian by the name of Diego Pillco - had been stalking her for some time. On the 1st of November, which is better known as the Day of the Dead festival in Latin America, he took his break and made his way to Adrienne's aprtment. He broke into her apartment and almost certainly raped her. Pillco then took the bedsheet, wrapped it around her neck, draged her into the bathroom and hanged her from the shower-rail. Adrienne was alive and fully conscious. When it was over, he cleaned up the evidence and went downstairs to finish the remainder of his shift. Shelly's death was orignally though to be a suicide until a second forensic investigation - insisted on by Shelly's husband - found Pillco's shoeprint in the bathroom. He was still working in the building.
Pillco confessed in custody, telling dectectives that he was having one of 'bad days' when he killed Shelly. When asked what was going though his head when he slipped the noose around Adrienne's neck and hanged her, he said that it 'reminded him of stringing up pigs back on the farm'. Due to a lack of forensic evidence, and the fact that Pillco had neither a lawyer nor diplomatic representative with him during his interview, the Prosecution offfered him a plea-bargain, and Pillco confessed to a charge of manslaughter during a bungled robbery. After his sentence is served he will be deported.
For the record, Pillco did not actually know who Adrienne Shelly was when he began stalking her. He had never seen the award-winning actress and film-maker before he got as job working in the building. When Pillco stalked her he stalked her as a woman and not as a celebrity.
To him, Adrienne was just an anonymous victim. She could have been ANYONE! -

Exactly, and that is why Homosexuals like Cruise hide their sexualityand sue newpapers for exposing the truth. Feel real good about Cruise, now? Yeah, real amazing.
