Let me explain something to you clown, independent filmmakers like you shooting in your backyard can apply for the DGA and pay a “licensed” armourer too. Or you go to a gun range and the armourer gives you a firearm to practice with. Just because someone with the job title “armourer” hands you a gun and says it’s okay to point it at someone and cock the trigger doesn’t absolve you of responsibility. There is no “movie set license” that gives you immunity from negligence. If you did this you would be in prison yesterday, because you’re not rich and famous like Baldwin.

Were you on the set with your eyeball down the barrel of every single gun in every single shot? Hilarious. See… you are confusing 'pointed' with 'aimed' It would be against gun safety protocols to be aiming a gun towards anyone, but the fact is at some point a barrel of a gun is going to be pointed in someone's direction. Especially in a film with lots of guns and extras. It's the armourer's job to keep live bullets off the set so accidents cannot happen when human errors are made.
Alec Baldwin was practising aiming the gun at the camera. Not aiming the gun toward the woman that was killed.

The burden of proof is on you. This is your claim. Were you on the set at the time? I just made the assertion that because it can happen, the armourer's job is to make sure LIVE bullets do not cause a tragedy, if it does happen.

Not on a film set. They are expected to be loaded at a gun range because the expectation is to be shooting at a target. What is the expectation on a film set? This is really a very simple point that you can't address, because addressing it means that you admit the fault lies with the armourer who allowed live ammunition on set.
