It's pretty clear that he hated the creative direction of the show from about season 4 onwards. He and most of the supporting cast were angry with their lack of screen time and developmentand honestly by the end of the show, most of characters other than Seven, Janeway and the Doc were all really just doing the same thing week after week.

I just read Beltran saying the exact same thing, about the focus of the last 3 seasons!

bemanning-1, Your link didn't work. His website in IMDB is http://www.robertbeltran.com/pages/1/index.htm. Looks like you just added an a between his names. Must have been a typo.

Must be one of the most boring shows ever created, same stuff every episode.

I get why people might think that he hates the show. I think it's more of he hates what was done with the show, rather than the show itself. I don't hate Voyager I hate the amount of potential that was wasted. I hate Voyager the same way I hate the last season of Roswell. And Roswell is one of my favorite shows.
I think disappointed is a better word to use than hate.
I'm catching up on eps on Spike and every ep is either Seven disobyeing orders, Tom and Be'Lanna fighting or creatures who need help but they have to abide by the rules.
There was a lot of unused potential.

I have been catching up on TNG lately and I find a lot of Voyager episodes were direct rip offs of TNG episodes.
                    Serioue potential lost.

I think Voyager got a lot better after Janeway evoloved(when he hair was cut) I can see that he may have thought his character needed more in the way of a script. He was not equal to Riker which is what was needed. I guess because he was Maqi and Janeway never trusted him. But I didn't like the fact that some of the crew came from the Maqi anyway. That was not needed. I loved the storyline of he and Seven at the end. They did the best they could considering DS9 was running at the same time and probably took some of the energies-creativeness away. In Sci Fi it depends on the villian. If you don't have a good villian it's not memorable(Darth Vader, Klingons, borg.)

What was this? Can't remember as it's ages since i've seen it? and for that matter how did it end? Did they get home? I have seen it but couldn't have had a lasting memory on me. It's being repeated on Virgin in the UK, but only just started.

He never hated star trek otherwise why did he take it in the start? He hated what voyager became and the reputation it gained after season 4 and what it did to his career.

Voyager, like DS9, Enterprise, and TNG is the reason why Star Trek suffered from franchise fatigue during this time. If anything, I'm glad that those four useless spinoffs have been erased by the new Star Trek prequel/reboot.
Nothing can top the original Star Trek and nothing ever will.

To dismiss the 4 shows that were spawned by TOS is a total slap in the face to the people who made TOS. It was due to the love that fans had for TOS that made the later shows possible. For someone who seems to be a fan of TOS, you're comments are awfully hypocritical. You might want to think about what you're writing before you post next time.

TNG is by far the best, in my opinion, but I enjoy all the Star Trek spin offs and the original. DS9 is probably my least favorite.

DS9 was, after Ron Moore took over, the darkest, edgiest, grittiest, and most depressing of the bunch. I suppose that makes "good" TV these days. But, I doubt it will stand the test of time as both TOS (still popular after nearly 45 years) and TNG (now nearly 23 years old) have done.
Shows like DS9 are good for a "watch once" - but once you see the kind of story it's trying to tell a second viewing doesn't have near as much punch. TOS & TNG don't try to deliver that much impact. They're more about a 1-hour burst of adventure, with, perhaps a bit of food for thought thrown in.
Voyager follows this style, which is more true to Trek than anything Moore came up with.
So, any TOS, TNG, or Voyager ep can be relevant as entertainment 40, 50, or 60 years later. DS9 will need a continually fresh audience to maintain a popularity. I think it's quality has also been tainted by what Ron Moore has gone on to do - an ugly, dark retelling of a classically camp 70s series - and Moore's version had sexist, racist, and homophobic overtones if you know where to look.

I loved Moore's BSG; you didn't. So far, no problem. People have different tastes that's what makes the world go 'round.
But as for BSG being sexist, racist, and homophobic, you are gonna have to give some examples. I've seen the series from beginning to end in two different marathons over the last year, and I haven't got a clue what you could possibly be referring to. Examples, please.
