He seems to have plumped up a bit more recently. I say the 5'11 was measured in shoes when he was a bit younger. But with that being said, he was definitely atleast 5'10 in the eighties, as you see him taller than Charlie Sheen and Willem Dafoe in Platoon.

i'd say 5'11.5 in platoon but that is the only movie i remember him in. he was definitely more than 2 inches shorter than john c. mcginely but he was taller than charlie sheen (5'10 i beleive) by at least an inch.
This is the City of the Angels, and you haven't got any wings. -

I'm 6'1" and 5'11" is about right. Patrick is about my height, but when he was in HS and played varsity basketball, he, like most of the people his age that were raised in the Michael Jordan era, wanted to be 6'7" and black.

Thats funny about Patrick6'7" and black..
I work with a Dr. thats 6'9" black and he played basketball. He takes one step to my 4.
I'm 5 ft so everyone is tall to me and you start shrinking the older you get. Yikes!
Tom may be shrinking to. Thanks for clearing that up for us. -

Many celebrities look smaller when you meet them in person.
I once heard Berenger's "Substitute" co-star Marc Anthony say that it was hard for his character to try to intimidate Berenger because he is a large man. I guess everything is relative. Anthony looks very slight.
