he still is! I find him extremely attractive. And those lips He has the most kissable lips a man can ever have
    .
Besides, I like his movies. My favorites are
    Betrayed
    Platoon
    Sniper
    The Last of The Dogmen
    Someone To Watch Over Me

Yeah, Tom has the most kissable lips a man could ever have, don't you agree
        ?
He really was fantastic in Platoon, sgt Barnes is a villain you can never forget. Truly a psychotic product of war.

Yep! It's the thick lips. I first saw him in Flesh & Blood w/Suzanne Pleshette. He was very earthy. Most 'boxers' are, as he was a boxer in that film. Eventually I began to see him in other films. His smile is a winner! He needs to smile more! He's usually stone-faced. He cries well on screen, too.

I've seen mostly everything he's been in and he always looks great. If only all men aged that way.

I'm not sure if it is a girly type of a movie, but I would recommend
                      Last of The Dog Men
. It's unbelievably romantic, and also a very beautiful story.
                      Chasers
is a comedy, but there Tom gets the girl, so Plus he looks fabulous in a white uniform. THAT will burn the image of Tom forever into your retinas
. I mean, how can anyone look that bloody good??!
                      Betrayed
is a powerful movie, not a girlie movie per se and maybe not all that happy one either, but certainly a must for a Tom fan.

Looks only go so far. He was not a very nice person anytime I interacted with him. His wife is pretty though, and kid is cute.
I used to like him as an actor, now I can't watch a movie with him in it without cringing.

I wouldn't say he was a sweetheart. Maybe the only time we interacted with him was when he was in a bad mood already.
No one I worked with wanted to deal with him, and it was a common theme for some businesses in the area to feel that way.
I don't know, like I said, maybe he was just in a bad mood anytime we (or any of the other shopkeepers that felt the same) dealt with him.
I can only hope he wasn't how we percieved him to be.

types "At Play In The Field Of the Lord" into Amazon.co.uk
I loved him in Platoon. That scar.really did it for me. And as for Sniper.I wasn't sure which one to oogle at the most, Mr Zane or Mr Berenger.
Joking joking; Zane was nuthin' but a distracting piece of eye candy. Tom was the main attraction in that movie; especially when he's doing that moody sniper thang.

                                      Oh yes, he was
. He's frolicking around the jungle in his birth suit for quite a big share of the movie. And it's a good movie, too. Slow, but very gripping, with a great cast.
Sgt Barnes is one of my all-time favorite villains. He was such a perfect product of war. Tom got robbed an Oscar that year, damn it!!!

Please ignore the negative remarks made by 'T'. I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with this true gentleman when I was involved with the publicity of PLATOON some 20 years ago. I've worked with hundreds of actors over the years, and Tom towers above all of themas a first-rate actor, a highly-intelligent, warm-hearted, totally modest, generous, down-to-earth gentleman. Also, a wonderful father to his children. We became good friends,2000 and have remained so ever since. I treasure his friendship. A more loyal and caring person never lived. Happy Birthday, Tom! You are indeed the greatest!
                                        Fondly, a friend.

I'm glad to hear that, sdiner82! I have had the impression of Tom being a nice and down-to-earth guy and I was happy you found that to be true. I value him highly and I watch all his movies. I just counted my Tom movies, I've got 38 of them! Most in DVD, some of the oldest also in VHS. My husband doesn't think he's that special, I guess he thinks I'm a bit nuts collecting those movies
