It's a sign of his talent: he can make even the worst thing worth watching; the same goes for Brian Dennehy, for instance

Yeah, except for the fact that Brian Dennehy doesn't make a movie worth watching, but Tom Berenger does.
I mean, just imagine seeing Brian Dennehy as Barnes in Platoon.. LOL
I could see Tom Berenger as the Sheriff from First Blood though.. would be awesome. Although Dennehy did a good job, he's no Berenger.

Berenger was wonderful in Shattered - a good murder mystery/thriller with an astounding twist! (It stars Berenger, English beauties Greta Scaachi and Joanne Whalley-Kilmer, Corbin Benson).

Shattered WAS an amazing movie. I love my mystery fiction and that was just brilliant, Berenger sure as hell de2000livered in that role.

There seem to be two kinds of actors: the kind who want to be stars because they enjoy the trappings, and the kind who want to work because they enjoy the work (and the trappings are secondary or even avoided). Berenger always struck me as the second kind, and the most talented seem to be the second kind.

He's a happy ski-bum in Whistler, BC, and enjoying life. Looks to me like he's working plenty.

He pretty much refused to kiss anybody's ass and the industry turned on him and he only gets parts in B-movies or small roles in major films like Training Day, Inception, and Faster. It is a shame that a guy with such talent has been forgotten.

He'd be perfect for the upcoming Expendables sequel. Sniper, Platoon? Oh yeah, I think he'd fit right in. But if they do another Major League movie it'd be cool if him and Snipes returned as their respective characters.

Love him. He was in a good Law & Order ep in 2000. He's just a good actor!

Inception made his profile higher for cinema audiences but he nowadays, he should be looking for prestige tv shows.

He works constantly and has recently won an Emmy. He has an enviable resume and a solid ability to provide excellent performances. We all love our actor icons in their gorgeous, young, taut phase, but he's lived hard and it shows. Four wives, six kids, I bed he stays out there working for a long time, so we'll continue to enjoy him in all his incarnations.

I don't know him personally, but it seems from my observation he wasn't much into playing the Hollywood game.
He did not live in New York or LA but in South Carolina where it's presumed he helped raise his several children. Had other concerns than ac111cting & parties. Shocking, innit.
He's certainly turned in some strong performances over the years. Surprised he has not popped up to anchor a cable TV series. Somebody should write a show for him. Tom Knows Best. On Berenger Blues Street. Something.
