how is it racist, to name someone of germanic/scandinavian heritage, after a norse deity? its part of the history/culture for whoever's grown up with it. its like saying that catholics aren't allowed to call their daughters maria ::) completely ridiculous claim

I like it. I once knew a little boy named Thor, and I always think of him when I hear her name. Would never name my own child that, but it's kind of cool and different.

Makes me think of Thora Hird - therefore don't like it. It feels like it should be an older person's name, and therefore not appropriate for someone in their mid-twenties Perhaps she'll grow into it!

It's actually a sort of common name here in Iceland (with a different spelling, though) and I think it's alright. But it's sort of cool that there's a non-Icelandic person with this name.

I am pretty neutral, dont get why its such a fuss.
It definitely doesnt sound more weird than many other english names.
