The political comments on here are out of bounds folks. I love animals and I'm definitely NOT a liberal! She just loves animals and I'm fine with that. Now I wouldn't let a horse or chicken live in the house with me (my Himalayan cat is enough) but that's her right (assuming her landlord doesn't mind- if she rents).
But the tacky attacks on GOP/Republicans are uncalled for as is the "liberal loon" one

Why is horses pluralized with an apostrophe, but not chickens or pets?
Shouldn't it be chicken's and pet's?

Those people unsure of the apostrophe get confused when a noun ends in a vowel or an S. The word horse ends in a vowel but sounds like it ends with an S, therefore it is doubly confusing.
