Why do people like her?

I don't know never met her but a few years ago I ordered her book &2000quot;Going Vegan" from her website. They had some kind of server problems and didn't ship my book for like a month, I kept sending e-mails till one day they e-mailed me back told me the situation and said Linda would personally sign my copy which was pretty sweet.

Did you not check her bio and list of films/TV work? She is now heavily involved with abused dogs/cats (as well as other animals) and I applaud her for that. Yes, she got type-cast after The Exorcist (kinda hard not to be). But that's Hollywood.
I don't know how she is around fans b/c I've never met her but your hateful comments about Botox just prove how small-minded you are -

She was selling her cookbook at a cult video store in Portland. Some guy brought in an Exorcist poster for her to sign and she held up her book and announced loudly to him (and everyone else), "THIS is the only thing I care about right now!" I'm like, "Okay, sure, I get it but damn, lady, you're making an appearance in a CULT VIDEO STORE." It's not like he attacked her at a health food store and demanded that she talk about playing Regan or something.
Later on, a Filipino woman and her daughter were loitering around the table, kept gushing over "movie star Linda. Movie star Linda." Linda summoned one of the bored hipster girl employees over to the table and declared, "Take this woman and her daughter to the counter and print out a list of Linda's movies FOR CHILDREN."
The girl sort of scoffed: "Um, have you made any?"
I snickered, and Linda shot me a disapproving look. Then turned back to the girl "Uh, yeah, I made something in Romania. I think it was a superhero movie. I'm sure I did. I can't remember what it's called. But I'm sure you have it."
I offered, "And then there's always Savage Streets."
Linda glared at me again. -

If she was selling a book, the freebie is the autograph after you buy the book. That doesn't mean you2000 get to drag in your Exorcist poster, your mommy or the dog to get autographed (unless you buy the book, and then she autographs your poster.)
I know you think you're just clever as hell to get Blair to shoot you all those 'disapproving' looks (and getting her to 'glare' at you! aren't you just the scamp?), but yanno, that tells me more about you than it does her.
I'm scarcely the world's biggest Linda Blair fan, but I don't get why rubes think poking a stick at a film star is the bravest, most courageous thing ever. Why be a douchebag? If you don't like her, move on. I'm pretty sure if I had to deal with random rude jerks, I'd be a bit more than snippy and I'd be doing more than shooting you 'disapproving' looks. -

I've heard mixed stories about what she's like to her fans, but I can understand why she's tired of discussing The Exorcist. It's a great film and she's spectacular in it, but it was one of those movies that was career-defining, and that's troubling for actors who are just starting out to be plunged into that. She'll always be remembered as Regan, and I think that after forty years, she's probably ready to close that chapter.

I suppose she is tired of 'Exorcist' but, it's the only reason she is known.
She was supposed to be in the Santa Fe Comic Con this weekend. I saw a photo that sort of claims it but, some friends told me that they saw no sign of her or section for her.

You Sir,are a Liar. I met Linda twice and she is a sweet, compassionate, and unlike many Stars today,is bereft of any attitude. She has been in Showbiz since childhood. She was not only nominated for an Oscar for, The Exorcist, she won a Golden Globe Award, for same titled film. And, she has been in many Films.Unlike a lot of other Actresses, she looks quite good today. Also, she is a Vegetarian and very involved in Animal Rights. As far as why the line was so long, that has to do with the fact that Linda paid her dues, long ago.The 2 times I met her, there were indeed long lines, all composed of Men.This probably has more to do with your lack of patience,Americanidolboy 13 (no doubt your age).

I have seen her in more than one movie. So you're wrong on that one.
And meeting someone at a convention is very differnt to meeting them in an informal, unsupervised environment. For better or worse, the person you 'meet' at a convention is as much a fabrication as the characters they play on screen.
If Blair was snooty or 'ungreatful' as you put it, it's probably her way of ensuring she doesn't get invited back.
Never defend crap with 'It's just a movie'

I love a lot of Linda Blairs' moves. YesI said "movies", that is plural for more than 1 movie. One movie I like, that hasn't been brought up here, is the 1975, Sarah T.- Portrait Of A Teenage Alcoholicalso stars a young Mark Hamill. Of course, The Exorcist is one of my favorite possession filmsthey don't get much better than that.
She's a beautiful lady with a compassion for helping animals. Anyone who helps animals is ok in MY book!
"Ain't life grand!"
