OMG it says in his biography that he was almost killed while filming his death scene. Does anyone know what exactly happened?

Friar Tuck was not played by Blessed, it was Michael McShane

I'm pretty sure he played Costner's (Robin's) father, and I'd like to hear the answer to the OP's question too.
If he was Lord Locksley, the footage in which he was almost killed must have been left on the cutting room floor. In the scene, the camera pulls away as the sheriff's hoodlums close in on Lord Locksley. You really can't see much else.
