I doubt OP has actually met Mr. Cromwell.
I worked with him, and he's a wonderful man.
He's very serious, and has a soul. After he made "Babe", he became a vegetarian. It takes a real man to do something like that, to change lifelong habits for ethical reasons & enlightened beliefs.

Dude. Cromwell is a nutjob of the first magnitude, and you are oblivious to it because you are a starry-eyed fan, which disqualifies you as and objective observer.
Get the facts first - you can distort them later!

You are no doubt right about the OP. James Cromwell seems to be a good man. I've had the utmost respect for him ever since I read years ago that he became vegetarian after his experiences with and observations of the pigs during the making of "Babe."

Just because you disagree with his politics doesn't make him a nut job, by all accounts I've read he's a gentleman.

I was replying to the OP.
Another thing is that even though he's politically active, he rarely goes out of his way to say anything political when he does interviews.

                    dab,
Just this past Sunday when asked if he supports the OWS, he said basically "bring on the revolution"
Sorry, but encouraging a revolution IMO is political.

                        A loon? For what reason?
The guy is a saint, realising the pain and torture inflicted on animals for greed and gluttony and going vegan/vegetarian is brilliant! That's the most sanest thinng to do

Regarding his vegetarianism, I have read that he turned veggie after he smelt the terror and anxiety in a stockyard. He must be an extremely sensitive man. I hold him in great esteem.

But you, hidden, unknown O.P. casting judgment, while your life and identity remains anonymous, must be very sane.

Although I disagree with his politics, I have nothing but respect for this man. As a vegan, I respect that he made the move towards compassion after making "Babe".
