Yes, the best movie she has starred in is definitely Blue Velvet. BUT, if the real question is, what is her best performance, my absolute answer is Rambling Rose. If you've never seen it, you'll be a fan for life after you do (even if you're not a teenage boy)

I always thought it was a shame that Laura was never cast in at least one romantic comedy (a la When Harry Met Sally) or a musicalI think she probably has a great voiceI read somewhere that she sang at her mother's wedding a few years back

I've seen only four, but Citizen Ruth is the best by far. Something about the way she played this was so real, and every person showed a human side. Swoozies facial expressions at Ruth's uncaring attitude were priceless. Since this post, I have seen five more, "Afterburn" I call 2nd best, and "Damaged Care" as No. 3. The others was "We Don't Live Here Anymore", which I would place at the very bottom along with "Daddy and Them" but "Focus" was ok. I'm still hitting video places for "Rambling Rose", "Baby Dance", and "Smooth Talk". No luck so far.

i haven't seen all of them, but i think "October Sky" could be the best.

i don't see how you people can saying jurassic park. she was absolutely horrible in it. thats the only thing i'd change about the movieremove Laura Dern from it. Not saying i don't like her. her performance was just really bad in it.
