The only Klingon in Starfleet? I'm sure they would have developed his character (once his makeup stopped looking really bad) even if Denise Crosby had stayed. But I see your point.

Actually I'm sure he's thanking Gene for what happened. Crosby was originally intended to be Troi and Sirtis was to be Tasha. Reverse rolls. Crosby would have left anyway with her ego, and I don't think Worf would've fit into being the next counselor! lmao.
