Was really excited with what she was given in Melancholia, and in Fargo last year. I hope she can score another really interesting character soon so she can be given the deserved credit.

Well, the problem is not a lack of interesting roles.
After all, her roles in "The two faces of January" and "Midnight special" were quite interesting.
With "Fargo" she had definitely plenty to work on and show.
I think she needs an Oscar-bait role. Something that b68might bring her to the Oscar voters attention.
However, I think she also has no luck in terms of awards.
"Melancholia" and "Fargo" could have both scored higher. And she was ignored by the Oscars and the GG respectively.
I wish she could get some sort of recognition for "Midnight special", but the chances are pretty much 0, given the too early release date and the sci-fi genre.
I have high hopes for "Woodshock" and "The beguiled".
However, "Woodshock" is filmed by newcomers and we know nothing about it. "The beguiled" is a Sofia Coppola film, and we know how underrated she is.
I still don't catch why Oscar-bait directors don't seem that interested in working with her.

Oscar-bait directors choose to work with Jennifer Lawrence, showing that it's not how good of an actress you are. I don't have any respect for the oscars anym5b4ore tho, of course everybody wants it.. but, come on.
