I know I'm late to the party in reading this book, but now that I have, I just gotta say this book is OUTSTANDING!!! I do not even posses the vocabulary to accurately describe how amazingly awesome this book is <<<< Odd choice consider the da2000rk turns the story makes.
I wish this book was longer - 600. 1000 infinite pages. I could read Corey Feldman's stories about his life, for the rest of mine. Those movies were my childhood. What a story! What a story teller, the flow was so good. (too short, but so, so good.) I mean, one sentence you've got a smile on your face and a warm feeling about you, but by the next, it's like someone's punched you in the throat and stomped on your head. I've never had an experience where I'm so up and down like that..in the span of seconds!!
It was weird reading this, it's a hard one, emotion wise - we grew up on these guys' movies. I feel like I have ulcers now, some dark and twisted, smoldering heap in the pit of my stomach - I can still feel it right now.
The stories about Corey Haim (I think that's the smoldering heap in my belly) so, sweet and insightful and then so depressing and miserable - again, one second you're laughing, warm and fuzzy, and the next, someone's choking you with barbed wire, while pouring bleach on the fresh wounds and then salt.
The Haim stories left me with a feeling that I don't know if I'll be able to shake any time soon incredibly emotional.
This book is fantastic. It's the kind of book that once you've finished reading, you'll pick up to read again. Coincidentally, that's exactly what I did. (am doing)
As far as biographies go, this one is one of the best I've read.
I do have a few negs, but they're all pretty petty: 1. It was too short - I'd love a Coreyography 2.0 with more pages - and 2. There wasn't enough pictures.
And yea, like others have said, expanded sections about the movies would've been good too but again, petty.

So glad you enjoyed the book. Now for what really happened, read Greg Harrison's public message, regarding what went down.

Greg Harrison was Corey Haim's actual real life best friend, & continued being a friend of Corey Haim's mother (unlike Feldman).

Geez man, thanks for that
I don't think it changes my opinion of what I consider a depressing and gripping book, but I guess context is key with everything.
I appreciate the info - and I'm kind of OCD when it comes to details and stuff, so digging through this (these facts, tales, whatever) will probably keep me pretty busy for a while.

I've been following Greg's post and I have to say that I feel pretty guilty about liking the book as much as I did (do) I'm glutton and selfish Truth.
If I am to believe this guy (which I do) I feel "worser" by the second, but I am pretty glad that Corey Haim had this person in his life.
