You seem to skip my post about the photos from Touch. Now having just seen it from the first time last year I think she was playing about her age or slightly younger. She look young enough to be the romantic interest of the Skeet Ulrich who was six years younger in age.
In A Simple Plan Bridget was 34 while shooting. Again she look about her real life age and she was stripped down this time, not playing a ingenue but a mature character in the vain of Lady MacBeth. You are really exaggerating her oldness by some impossible metric you are using here.
She would have gotten mother roles because the industry is sexist towards middle aged actresses, even those with sex appeal like Bridget Fonda. Look at her SWF co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh. She made a career of craving out of playing damaging female roles and look younger than her actual age. Yet she is now relegated to mother roles. It's just the simple truth that Hollywood won't allow for any middle aged or older female portrayal outside of select group of actresses who get the pass from executives. -

no exaggeration just facts. the bridget fonda in a simple plan and touch are completely different than the bf in early '90s movies. nothing can change this. you seem to think you can somehow alter history.
what do you mean by middle aged or older roles? aren't these actresses at 35 or 40-45 this exact age? mother roles is the same thing as middle aged and older.

Not altering any of history, what I am giving is my perception of aging is different from yours. You seem to think Bridget Fonda look older in those movies while I think she was young, if not the same as her early ingenue movies. Going past the movies, look at her at the Inglorious Bastards premiere, where she still retained a beauty that made her look late 30s rather than her age of 45.
I mean middle-aged roles as 40+, which means Bridget never trapped into the tap because she quitted acting before she could transform into mature roles. You don't need to be rocket scientist to know actresses have a limited spotlight in the Hollywood scene, when you reach 40 it's the death sentence for most of their careers. -

I said she was playing a mother/wife role. Those could range from someone who got knocked up in junior year of high school to even 40, the age where Bridget irl gave birth to her child Oliver. She was playing either her age or slightly younger. Laura Dern and Nicole Kidman were consider for the role, both of whom were three years younger than Fonda at the time. What I said was if Bridget Fonda continued acting into middle age she would be doing mother roles.

I'm not altering history because what I am doing is simple setting my opinion about her age. At least I am not dipping in fat-shaming as many insecure guys have done this week after the publication of the photos.

Bridget Fonda played a plain jane struggling working class housewife in A Simple Plan, so she wasn't supposed to look beautiful and glamourous as that character, you goddamn ****ing dumbass.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -

Wow, I didn’t even realize she was in “A Simple Plan.” I just remembered how annoying Billy Bob Thornton’s retard character was on that movie.
I don’t think Bridget Fonda necessarily looked old in that movie. However, she definitely didn’t look attractive, but I assume that was intentional to make her character look homely.
