Is Rob Reiner really that all known though or revered around the world today? Is he one of the most recognisable faces in the industry? I wouldn't notice him if I passed him on the street - he's not really a 'Superstar actor' either
I guess it depends on your age. I'm 48, I grew up on All in the Family, and Rob Reiner has been bigtime for as long as I can remember. His dad is Carl Reiner, another household Hollywood name, depending on your age. This guy definitely would qualify as Hollywood mogul. -

ETA: After looking at a few things, it appears Rob Reiner would be a likely suspect. He fits the criteria and Haim's wiki says that he auditioned at Reiner's house and got River Phoenix's part in Stand By Me but turned it down for Lucas.
Based on an article I read in Variety, River Phoenix got the part almost as soon as he auditioned. I really can't picture Phoenix being second choice behind Haim, anyway.
Reiner was more of an up-and-coming director when he did Stand by Me; I think you might be overestimating the level of power/influence he had at the time Haim was allegedly first raped (~1985-6).
Oh and Feldman was a complete bully on the set.

With names like Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey jr being thrown around? Not overestimating at all. Regardless of his directing credentials at the time, he was still Carl Reiner's son and a household name due to All in the Family. I'd surmise he was well connected even then, considering the jump from sitcom actor to movie director/producer. -

I agree that Sheen and Downey weren't huge power players, either. When I think of career making/breaking people in Hollywood, I think of producers and well established directors, but rarely actors.
The claims about Haim's first rape are confusing. Is Feldman the
only
one saying that Haim was raped before Brascia? Was the rapist an A-lister when he raped Haim or did he achieve that status years later?
I don't feel comfortable with all of the online speculation over the identity of Haim's rapist. Raping a child is a life destroying act but being falsely accused of raping a child can destroy innocent lives, too. Personally, I hope it isn't Reiner. I know a few people who have worked with him, and they have only good things to say. -

I watched The Two C111coreys for the train wreck appeal. I couldn't stand either one of these guys growing up and wanted to laugh at their failure. But when they started talking about being molested and surrounded by pedophiles so powerful that no one will name them, I felt really bad about hating them and wanted these sickos brought to justice. -

You mean that blind item on radar online? Brascia is the source for that blind I'm sure, according to Haim's friend, Brascia tipped off the enquirer and another detective:
I am still only speculating that they made him this deal and offered him money to confirm another name of an alleged abuser in Hollywood that Feldman seems to be after.
Brascia has been pointing his finger at Sheen for years, Feldman badmouthed Sheen:

The incident happened on location at a school in Chicago whilst filming 'Lucas' - isn't it more likely it was someone working on 'Lucas?' why would a Hollywood big shot go all the way to Chicago to hang out on a low budget movie set?

Brascia himself is one of the people feeding stories to TMZ/RADAR/ whatever. I hope the bigwig pedophile (if he exists) is named, too. However,

lives and reputations should not be destroyed by people speculating on internet gossip sites. This isn't a game. Feldman needs to name names; otherwise, he could be doing more harm than good. -

Lol, new to the interwebs? Lives and reputations don't get destroyed by message board discussion. If someone gets outed, it will be because the story was vetted and the media can confidently print the name. If there is nothing to this story, it will go away. But it appears this is just the beginning with more to come. We'll see. I just re-read the radaronline article and it says their info has been confirmed by dozens of sources. Sheen and Haim may very well have had sex, but at 21 y/o, there is no way Sheen was the kingpin of a pedophilia ring. These stories are not about him. -

At the very least, reputations are tarnished. Public image is incredibly important in the entertainment industry. Lawyers went after a particular "blind" gossip website a few years and forced its owner to admit he fabricated most of its content. People in Hollywood were paying attention to what was being written online and didn't appreciate being libeled. -

Apparently Haim himself said he was offered Phoenix's role in Stand by Me. It was from an interview with Larry King back in 2007.
HAIM: I had a movie I really wanted to do. And we were just talking about being competitive in "License to Drive" and what have you. And (UNINTELLIGIBLE), you know, from Steven Spielberg, there's a few things I wanted to do, which the personal divergence and "Lucas," I had gotten the part in "Stand by Me" and the part in "Lucas" in the same day. Also an A list actor and I would imagine very powerful. Plus Haim and Downey worked together on the set of Firstborn when Haim was 11 years old. Corey lived with Downey and SJP for almost 2 months ( what was Judy Haim thinking? sadly not the wellbeing of her Son it seems) and wasn't Downey arrested once for being intoxicated while breaking into a neighbours house and passing out on the bed of their 11 year old Son. Who knows what was going through his head if anything? I know these are all facts, whether there all just a coincidence? ..yes most probably, but It's just a theory1354. This is my first post and I feel like a fish

It's most definitely Robert Downey Jr.
I wouldn't doubt that Jr. himself was raped as a kid. It would explain why he would rape a young Haim and why he would later become consumed with drugs.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought Feldman said something like that in his book Coreyography. He wouldn't say that if RDJ had abused him. -

Haim himself mentioned living with RDJ and SJP for a couple months. Strangely, he claims he was only 10 at the time (source was Wikipedia so it could be inaccurate). Makes me wonder about the timeline for his abuse claims. He seems to be shaving a couple years off different life events. -

Ive been around since the days of haim trying to sell his teeth, living in his moms basement, obese era, rwality show era and after. From what I remember of the sheen accusations it was more like a stautory rape with a much older (17 or 18 year old) kinda took advantage of haim at 11 who looked at him like an older bro. The one that supposedly screwed haims life up was always said to be a powerful executive not just an actor, who can literally ruin your career. Something more along the lines of the head of a studio.im sure due to his dad sheen was semi powerful as a teen but not enough to have you blackballed.

The one in the blind item happened on the set of Lucas when Corey was 14 and CS would've been 21, I'm not sure where the aged 11 stuff came from (Feldmans book?) but Haim wasn't even in Hollywood aged 11 it would have been 1982 and he was living in Canada and wasn't acting yet
