You think Judy Haim is to blame..?

Being an enabler and giving Corey whatever he wanted. She took Corey out of rehab when he was 16 because he was crying claiming 'he would never do it again'.
Judy is a small part of what happened to Corey and by no means is to blame. She was doing the best she could and looks like an outstanding mother overall. I think the divorce hurt Corey more than anything and that's a part of life. -

She was a large part in what happened to him. He was molested and she didn't even know. She saw dollar signs when it came to his talent. You don't leave your kid to fend for themselves at a young age like that. And in Hollywood? Please.

A parent who leaves her young child to the wolves unattended would be to blame in my book. A good parent would never let her child spend that much time alone with men she barely knew. All this woman cared about was money. Maybe she was naive but I don't buy it. She reminds me of Brad Renfro's dad. As long as the money was rolling in she didn't care where her son was or what he was doing. These people basically overlook everything for money.

From what I read and seen in onterviews etc, she maybe could have tried harder, she said she got sucked in to the whole hollywood thing, she also said if she was to do it all over again she would make him stay in school and never have gone to hollywoord in the firt place. Im sure she blames herself as it is. If I was her, and I did the things she did, I would definitely blame myself. Sad all around

^^^ She did admit that she "got lost in the shuffle" when her son's career took off and was too lenient with him and didn't supervise him as well as she should have. Also, his parents divorced soon after the family moved to Los Angeles and his dad went back to Canada. Single mothers, in particular, often end up being manipulated by the predators into letting their kids go to places unsupervised, especially if they feel the kids, especially boys, need a male role model as the father is no longer available. The pedophiles are well aware of this and will often go out of their way to befriend the parent and/or guardian so that they will be trusted.
I think her guilt is very present, but she is in denial about a lot of things, which didn't help the situation when Corey was alive. I think she prefers not to think about his abuse at all. Can't say that I blame her, but denial just makes things worse.
