I liked him in his part in "Almost Famous" and he did some gentle humor in that.

Or he was killed by the "church" of Scientology for his portrayal of Hubbard. Hoffman was apparently clean for a hot minute like decades.
Not saying It's a fact BUT if people in Hollywood die unexpectedly and shockingly as often as they do, chances are high they did something against those who pull strings around here.

He was a great actor, A Most Wanted Man, Capote, Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, Doubt, Synedoche New York, all would be his great roles.
