        Its a tremendous lost for cinema. He was one of the greatests I have ever seen. It came naturally to him, as real as it can get.

            People were aware that he was a great actor before he died. That's why his death is such a big deal. How could you possibly think his death is good for his reputation? If he hadn't died, he'd still be making films. Your post is very confused.

              I'm not really sure if I follow your logic. Dying is a part of life. The reason people are talking about Hoffman's death is because he was relatively young and addicted to an illegal substance, apparently. People talk about celebrities and other famous people, regardless if they are considered "talented" or not, and especially when they die in unusual circumstances.
