Well, that's why he was a character actor and never a leading man. Could even say that it was to our benefit. Perhaps if he was "pretty" like a Brad Pitt or Channing Tatum, he would have just relied on that and never developed his skill as an actor.

He was good in the roles that he playeda good actor. However, I've seen more of his works AFTER he died than before. The typical dredging up of actors works after they die and playing them on TV. His was a plain face, and when he died he looked at least 20 years older than his chronological age. I suppose that was due to substance abuse. With a lot of celebrities who died of various types of overdoses, they looked terribly ag5b4ed at time of death.

Take your own advice. Either you are on the wrong board, or you missed the news on tv and the internet when he od' on heroin. Why don't you look him up on IMDb?
Think before YOU write you jerkwad. He looked dreadful in the photos published right after his death. Drug users ruin their looks even worse and faster than alcoholics do.

It broke my heart that he believed that. I found him incredibly attractive in all senses, but then I've never been one of the mainstream when it comes to men.
He was just that though, a man, not a boy, a presence not a presentation. -

he could have ended up playing elton john.
there was no doubt about his talent. however, there are plenty of equally talented and more physically attractive less famous actors. I was always a little surprised he got SO MUCH work. -

I think this feeling of being unattractive motivates some of the best artists, I remember reading Michelangelo talked about it, and felt this way. It's interesting, it gives you the humility to relate somehowI understand what he meant. It gives you empathy.
