He and Eccleston really brought something extra to the role, great writing and great acting to boot.
The Doctor who wasn't the Doctor is the best Doctor to my mind (And Missy is the best Master)

The best was Jon Pertwee, it's not even debatable.
From the new batch Tennant, Ecclestone, Smith and Capaldi were all excellent. I can't watch the new ones with Doctor Woke anymore. She's grand though. -

Some of the fashion choices put on Pertwee's Doctor were highly suspect but he did get a good set of episodes out while in the role.
Doctor Jodie should be back on the telly shortly, I wonder if they've got some decent stories for her yet?

I don't mind the woman thing Anna Maria and I don't mind her companions being a bit more representative of the UK these days.
I do mind that she's not really done any Doctory stuff yet and the focus is more on the group rather than the Doctor. That and the amount of episodes was pitiful (And potential dangerous).

What the same Demons of the Punjabi which highlight the ongoing Kashmiri skirmish in a flippant fashion?
I thought that content was handled very poorly.
As for the Doctor herself, she's not really done or said anything which makes her stand out. All prior Doctors have usually got into a rhythm of sorts within their first season, not Jodie's so far as I can tell.
For the record Missy is my favourite Master and so don't think I'm hating on women in roles which were played prior by men.
I like the companions and I like the way they are exploring the dynamics of everyone in a new and fresh way - they are my favourite part of it just now but I'd like a little more meat and a bit less of the soft cheese if they could, just one would be enough.
