Godspeed, John Hurt.
You've been an anchor tying together so many of the great movies and franchises I've know and loved through my life and none of them would've been quite as good without you.
This truly feels like the end of an era.

My all-time favorite musician died a little over a year ago, and now my all time favorite actor is gone.
It seems like for the first time in many generations that the world is getting poorer by the day.
RIP Mr. Hurt. -

The Elephant Man, Nineteen Eighty-Four, and Alien all made a huge impression on me as a young lad. The first two in particular set him up as one of my favorite "everyman" actors. He never stopped doing good work, The Proposition and Snowpiercer being recent appearances of his that I admired. One of the all-time "That Guy" thespians, truly.
