She is kind of a snoot. She isn't even that famous and I had no idea who she was until she told us. She and the man she was with were acting like we were in the room with royalty.

What makes her think she's in any position to give "acting lessons"??? Kind of like taking singing lessons from Britney Spears!

That is surprising to read, Kiki. This is an interview with Lynn-Holly from May 2006:
        http://roger-moore.com/articles/lynn-holly-johnson/
        An extract:
Q: Roger Moore is well known for being very kind with his co-stars, could you confirm it ?
Yes, Roger Moore is indeed very kind. I cant imagine him being angry because he has a wonderful zest for life and lives each day to the fullest.
He was an absolute joy. I've worked with some television stars here in the states, who really think they are something, the ultimate star and they expect to be treated like some God.
Roger is such a class act and for all that he has attained he still would never act like he deserves more.

I think Lynn-Holly was badly miscast.

Her film 'career' began well, then hit the skids with one crappy role/film after another. What a waste of a pretty girl.

She was beautiful but not a good actress which is why after For Your Eyes Only she didn't get anymore good roles. She forever have Ice Castles though since to this day women and girls still worship that movie. She was a very good skater which is why she worked in that movie. I would admit if I wa1c84s in that acting class you guys were talking about and she came in I wouldn't be able to help but laugh and would have trouble taking her advice.

This is hilarious. I took that class as well, she was was a sub for some other guy at saddleback college. The class was a joke, I wanted to laugh the whole time and I could tell others felt the same way. At the end they offered us extra parts in some online show LMFAO. Any one can go be an extra in BIG BUDGET HOLLYWOOD FILMS who would want to be an extra on some lame home filmed show???

Well she has no reason to be snotty. I just looked her up because I just caught the last few minutes of "Ice Castles" from the late 70s.
Most people wouldn't even know who she was.

It's too bad to hear she's snotty I've always loved her in her Bond roll. Her acting wasn't great but she fit the part and was very beautiful. She's one of a small group of girls that were "Bond" girls so she did accomplish something substantial and has been one of my favorites. Kinda funny, I took classes at Saddleback years ago. Wish I had known she was teaching there.

I am surprised she teaches acting. She was never a strong actress in the roles I have seen her.

I agree. Maybe Lynn-Holly was snotty because she felt her students weren't listening to her. Anyway, I guess her stroke in 2010 has stopped her teaching. I've read that it has affected her memory and concentration.

She was invited into William Morris Agency in the late '80's or early '90's. She behaved so badly, was obnoxious and full of her self, that even the agents who were initially interested in signing her joined with the total group and voted to pass. I was there.

Looks like she got lucky, marrying someone with whom could support her retiring from acting (working). She kept a few contacts in the biz which allow her to work (teach) & feel relevant.

Maybe Lynn-Holly felt that she had to behave that way in order to stop people taking advantage of her.

I disagree that Lynn-Holly's acting wasn't great in For Your Eyes Only. For many years, I had no idea that Bibi Dahl was not played by a professional actress. I assumed it was the other way around, that she had learned a few skating moves for the part.

This extract is from icenetwork.com, 2009:
"My day-to-day life is trying to play this role of Mom. It's like this long-running show where I won't even get reviewed until the kids are 18 years old. I have no script. I have no director guiding me along the way. It's a wonderful challenge, and I'm having a ball with my kids."
The world of film has also kept a place in Givens' mind and heart, and the last couple of years she's been fueling her creative juices with a small production company where she and a partner produce short films that they submit to festivals. "Sometimes I direct, and sometimes I act in them. I'm nuts about being creative. That's why acting is still hanging in there. I love directing."
