      Agree, He was one of the very best actors ever, the way he delivered his lines was always spot on. Although he did star in some pretty awful movies in his later years, He showed his talents in Venus, A shame that he didn't win that Oscar that year, I believed he performed better than Forrest Whitaker who is in my mind an overrated actor and his performance in The last king of scotland wasn't all that great.

          Bless you Peter Seamus O'Toole.
          "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
          Thou art more lovely and more temperate;
          Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
          And summer's lease hath all too short a date;
          Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
          And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
          And every fair from fair sometime declines,
          By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
          But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
          Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
          Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
          When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
          So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
          So long lives this, and this gives life to thee."
          Requiescat in pace.

                As extraordinary as the man he played in "Lawerence of Arabia". There are movie stars and there is Peter O'Toole in a league of his own.

                    I hope his family really uses this as his epitaph: Many years ago I sent an old, beloved jacket to a cleaner, the Sycamore Cleaners. It was a leather jacket covered in Guinness and blood and marmalade, one of those jobs and it came back with a little note pinned to it, and on the note it said, It distresses us to return work which is not perfect. So that will do for me. That can go on my tombstone.

                        RIP to Peter O'Toole. Truly one of the greatest actors ever. He was such a phenomenal and charismatic presence on stage and screen. I'm just so grateful that he shared his talent and so much of himnself with us. He will be greatly missed.

                            Raise a Guinness to a great actor with a doubly phallic name.
