What I like about him, is that he directs different types of movies. He has done Comedy/ Sci-fi/ Action/ Drama/ Musicals. I find him very talented as a director.

Awww, he's not bad at all. He was just pretty unfortunate to helm one of the biggest turkeys ever. I enjoyed his other stuff for the most part.

I agree, I think he was the one that destroyed The Stepford Wives. I actually like the concept or the story of the film and the actors were good but the directing and editing was lousy. The movie could have been very good and powerful if it was edited and directed wisely. No wonder there were problems on the set while this movie is being made.

More Yoda-ish direction from Frank Oz
                              "Resonate, your character should."
                              "Emotion, give me!"
                              "Leave me alone, producer must!"
                              Ahem, sorry.
BTW, I saw a book in my university library from the 70s about the behind-the-scenes stuff for "The Muppet Show," and you know who Frank Oz looked like back in the day? David Cross from "Arrested Development." Moustache and all. It was quite disturbing. So if they ever do a Oz biopic or a Muppets behind-the-scenes type film and they need someone to play Oz, David Cross is your man.

Frank Oz is A Very Gifted Puppeteer and A Very Talented Film Director. The Comedy He Directed in 1991, "What About Bob"? with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfusss was A Hilarious Movie! Even Pupppeteer Fran Brill of Sesame Street, who Performs Prarie Dawn and Zoe was in "What About Bob?" Frank Oz was Jim Henson's Right Arm. He and Jim Henson Performing All Their Characters togther was like one Person/Performer! Sesame Street has not been the same since Frank Oz left in 2000 to Direct More Films. When Jim Henson passed away in 1990- May He Rest In Peace In Heaven. The whole Jim Henson Organization will never be the same without The Combined Muppeteer Talents of Jim Henson and Frank Oz- Performing such Muppet Characters together as Ernie and Bert, Kermit and Miss Piggy, Ernie and Bert and Kermit,Cookie Monster and Kermit, Grover and Kermit, Fozzie Bear and Kermit, Animal and Kermit, Rowlf and Fozzie, Fozzie and Waldorf,Sam The Eagle and Kermit, Marvin Snuggs and Kermit ,Dr. teeth and Animal, and The Sweedish Chef, where the head and voice were performed by Jim Henson, but the arms and hands were controlled by Frank Oz. Frank Oz had an insecurity as a Performer, which led to Fozzie Bear as A Very Bad Comedian. But he overcame that problem with many years of performing experience and very hard work as a Muppeteer. And Frank Oz said in The Jim Henson Biography,"The Works", "That He1c84 never knew anyone like Jim." And Jim Henson and Frank Oz did A Great Job Directing The 1982 Creature Shop Movie,"The Dark Crystal" together. Jim Henson and His Daughter Cheryll wrote The Screenplay for "The Dark Crystal" Snowed In at New York's Kennedy Airport in The Blizzard of Feb. 1978. And Frank Oz was always The Creative Consultant of The Muppet Show and of many other Henson Projects. And Jim Henson Directed Frank in Mupppet Movies like, "The Great Mupppet Caper" of 1981 and The Next Creature Shop Movie with Producer George Lucas,"Labyrinth" of 1986 as "The Wiseman." And Frank Oz Directed Henson in The 1984 Movie, "The Mupppets Take Manhattan", which Frank Oz wrote the Screenplay for. It was The Only Mupppet Movie Jim had actually written for The Screen.Jim Henson was The Executive Producer of "The Mupppets Take Manhattan" and The Muppet Show. Jim Henson even had to wait till Frank Oz was out of High School to Hire him into His Puppeteering Organization.Frank Oz made A Big Difference to The Henson/Muppet Empire! Frank is Definitly The Puppeteer responsible for Bringing "Miss Piggy" to Life! And so did Puppeteer "Richard Hunt"- May He Rest In Peace In Heaven and Puppeteer Fran Brill also.Have A Great Summer everyone. Frank Oz is a Brilliant Man! I saw him Talk on "The World of Jim Henson" T.V. Special in 1994. He also Directed The Movie, "The Indian In The Coaboard" and "Housesitter."

Oz is actually one of three credited with writing the screenplay for "Muppets Take Manhattan"
But, yes, I've just seen "What About Bob?" and it's very funny and very entertaining. Certainly well-directed. Frank Oz IS a brilliant man. It's pretty foolish to judge a director if you've only seen one or two of his films. He directed a classic segment for Sesame Street that had a pinball rolling along a very sophisticated miniature roller-coaster.

People who capitalize almost every word are maybe even more annoying to read than people who don't capitalize at all. Learn to write properly and more people will read what you have to say and take you seriously.
