Her skin! OMG!

Its because she is the star of hollywood movies. What makeup, photoshop, and digital film editing can do to your skin is so fantastic that it really is too good to be true. Fact is, her skin probably isn't as good as it is shown in film. If you saw her without all the makeup and effects you'd likely see a woman who looks like she is 45. Not to say she'll be ugly to look at, but you'll notice things.

I completely agree.
I don't know anyone that seems to have that same flawless level of skin constantly!
And she's really quite slim as well, which is usually ensures that you will be wrinkly as you age.
So jealous! -

SHE IS ALMOST 45?! That is insane. i am 27 and I swear her skin looks younger than mine. SPF 50 here I come. It is amazing how incredibly young she looks. She SERIOUSLY looks no older than 30. I mean WOW. I wish I knew her skin care regimen.
And the weird part is she doesn't appear to have had any work done or botox, cause she has wrinkles when she smiles and stuff.
Quite simply, it's high sirtuin activity and delayed gene expression paths. A certain context of several population circles have seen a consistency yet arguable change in individuals with similar genetic compositions over time.
While chemical companies have been for decades trying to mimic such biological "jackpots" in the form of hygenic products, biological firms have been trying to figure out why certain combinations lead to cancer.
In the context of your post, it has allowed her (in contrast to others in the 40-something club) to join that late stage phase in acting where actresses in a fit of vain retrospection finally do nudity and heavily portray sexual roles whereas target demographic customers to cinema would rather
not
see them in their older stances in life.

She does have good skin but has tons of work. I could tell because I have had tons of work and so have all of my friends. People look like they haven't had obvious work when they start young (getting fillers, botox, using retin A and suncreen, etc.)and live a healthy lifestyle (not a lot of alcohol and drugs also).

If she's had botox, she's had it here and there, she doesn't have that wax figure look and you can see her wrinkles.
She's obviously been blessed with 16d0good genes. Whether or not she's had help from doctors, no idea Probably though.
She is stunning for 45 Although I'd have to see her in real life to judge properly. -

Whatever regarding Botox and cosmetic work here/there.
It's VERY subtle/well done.
However, that skin tone is INDEED thanks to three things:
1.- Good genes
2.- Good care (no sun)
3.- No booze/drugs/smoke or very moderate use.
I don't care about photos. You can tell when seeing them on screen or in interviews or whatever. You cannot photoshop video.
Proof? If you could people like Lindsay Lohan would look great and not like warm-over sh#$. Has anyone noticed how AWFUL she looks on Machete?!!!
If her agents could photoshop/fix that, don't you think she would have by now?
Same for countless actresses with bad skin due to hard partying, overtanning and bad genes (Jennifer Aniston anyone?).
They can look great on photos, but on video it shows, even on films. -

You cannot photoshop video.
Of course you can, but its very expensive, because its very time consuming. And the program wouldnt be called Photoshop, either, of course, as that one really can only change single pictures. -

Do not forget the HIGHLY PAMPERED life such actresses lead. No running for the 6AM train through the dry, biting, 10-below-zero air of Chicago for these Hollyweird lovelies. Add in the personal trainers, "pool-boys", etc ;^)

She does still have really beautiful skin. Yes, she definitely uses botox and fillers BUT a woman needs a good foundation of nice skin and good genes in order to look as good as Mary-Louise does.
To have as nice skin as she does at almost 50 it probably takes:
a) she uses retin-a/tretinoin
b) uses fillers, botox, regular peels
c) good diet & moderate exercise
d) good genes
e) great suncare
The same skin is available to many women, it's just that most of them aren't willing to put the work in. MLP has an incentive - staying young & fresh looking helps her get cast and make more $$$ -

It's combination of genes, having healthy life style and taking care of her skin. Her coloring is beautiful. She is gorgeous. Makeup can only cover so much. If her skin was not so young looking it would still show no matter how much makeup she applies. Yes I hope I can look good at her age as well. There is people on both sides of my family who has aged well. Here's hoping I will as well.
