Thats a good question; the way I see it is they suffer from a medical condition called Self- Importance Disorder (SID). Basically they surround themselves with like minded people and pay assistants and hangers on who will never disagree with them. They believe they are the authority on all subjects. In Sean Penns case I think he is just a moron and anyone who takes him seriously really needs to check themselves into the nearest psychiatric hospital.
Though I would love to go to a Hollywood party where all these A listers show up and listen to the conversations. It has to be the funniest thing ever.
