Her "acting" screwed her chances.
She is just doing this to get her name out there, she is a pretty woman with not much talent who is now middle aged, only way to get attention besides being Mrs. Will Smith is a stunt like this.

I think I might agree with you, when I'm honest I have to say she showed some real promise to me in Demon Knight & Set It Off but after that it was all downhill for whatever reason
