I do. I think he's actually the main reason the films are still loved today. Anyone else?

i agree,he made the role of Dr loomis his own and became the hero of the franchise, one thing i dont like is the way rob zombie has loomis come across as grumpy and a money grabber and actually have him die its crazy, but one things for sure its the original films the fans will remember and not the crappy rob zombie versions.

I can just say this: If I'm channel-surfing, and catch a glimpse of Donald Pleasence, I stop and watch a while. He's a lot like M. Emmett Walsh in that respect. A solid character actor with a lot of screen presence.

For sure. What makes him n outstanding hero for the franchise is because of his hypnotic speeches of how he knew Michae2000l Myers front-and-back and knew exactly how evil he truly was, and he was obviously frightened of him, as well, though trying to hide it, but he proves he's willing to sacrifice himself to Michael to ensure saving many innocent lives.. He was a truly likeable person that you root for him to defeat Michael.
No matter how many times he does his speeches, I would still happily listen to them from start to finish, cause the way he speaks it is just SO good. -
