Know what? What a beep thing to say.
She is in the public eye, so of course the public outcry will be more substancial than the average person out of the spotlight of celebrity.
You sound like a jealous turd.
She lost her son. I feel for her, just as I would feel for any mother who loses her child.
            It's called human empathy!
Get off your high and mighty (jealous) horse, grow the F up already! Christ!

I'm right with you on this.
It may be true that none of us know Kelly personally. But we know OF her, and it doesn't really matter why or how. In her case, we may know who she is only because she's a successful actress, but to somehow reach the conclusion that she is thus not worthy of our sympathy is genuinely pathetic, and indicative of a truly miserable and shallow individual. If you can't have sympathy for ANY mother who has lost a child, regardless of her societal stature, then you should - at the very minimum - keep it to yourself. But to actually take the time to get on here and pronounce your own vile brand of hatred and misery, in permanent written form, is simply despicable.
I could care less about Kelly Preston as an actress. As a grieving mother, she has my complete and total sympathy. As far as I'm concerned, those who don't share my sympathy for Kelly can drop totally dead this instant. And if that were to be the case, I wouldn't shed a single tear for you either, any more than I would shed a tear upon the death of a simple cancer cell. For that is all you are: a worthless cancer, and all the rest of us would be far better off without your malignant presence.

What goes around comes around, I never bought her sweet innocent act. But it still sucks losing a kid, it changes U and not for the better either.

You're spot on. Non celebs lose kids every day. But that doesn't make it any more tragic. It is a horrible thing to lose a child. Anyone who has suffered this situation is worthy of pity.
The OP didn't say she was better or suffering any more due to her wealth or fame. He/she simply stated that this person suffered a great loss and then shared some sympathy for it. It isn't a competition. If I go to a funeral, people don't stop me on the way and tell me that millions of other people have died as well, so I am being a jerk for going to this one and not the rest.

Troy McClure9, the children that die everyday ARE in the news, it just happens to be local news because they are not known Nationally or Globally. The interest that people have in the happenings of a celebrity is no different than the interest people have with acquaintances that are in their life. If you know OF someone, wouldn't you automatically be interested in what happens to them. It has nothing to do with money or fame, not really. If a kid from your school or church or neighborhood dies, even if you didn't really know them well, wouldn't it raise your concern just because you had a connection with them, no matter how insignificant. If a celebritys kid dies, why would they deserve less of your sympathy or empathy just because they are rich or famous? Your logic and those that agreed with you is, at best, hypocritical because it's conditional on someones wealth and/or status. At worst, its heartless!

Any mother losing a child is horrible.
But, I wonder if she's not in an unhealthy state.
Don't bash me for saying she shouldn't be grieving, but she can't even talk about it almost a year later?
I know we all grieve differently, but there comes a point when you have to take a step forward, even a small one, or you risk being stuck in an unhealthy state.
"Normal" people couldn't take a year off of work to mourn. You deal in your own way and keep plugging along to pay your bills.
I've read how the CoS basically makes you go through a process in this situation where you deny the existence of the person and figure out where you went wrong to contribute to the death. I'll bet she's so brainwashed with stupidity it's pushing her off the deep end.
Cursing is a crutch for the communicationally-challenged.

My condolences to the Travolta/Preston family for the loss of their son and brother.

No I'm sorry. When you are part of an organization that ruins families, destroys lives, brainwashes kids and adults alike and in some cases kills people, in my eyes you are no longer a person worth caring about.

First off Scientology is a RELIGION and not an organization. There are many Scientologists that are happy with their belief and has done no harm to them or their family. If someone decides to kill themselves or anotherthat's on their own accord and has nothing to do with the teachings of Scientology. If Scientology isn't your cup of tea, then let it be just that. Making up extraneous lies about what they do just shows your ignorance and intolerance with Scientology.
