When you are part of an organization that ruins families, destroys lives, brainwashes kids and adults alike and in some cases kills people, in my eyes you are no longer a person worth caring about.
Ha ha ha. Sounds like ignorance and a severe lack of intelligence to me.
Scientology is no different than most other religions on the planet. You single out Scientology, you need to single them all out. -

You seriously need to do some reading, neighbor. Scientology is a cult, plain and simple. But even without labels, they are most definitely an organization, and a dangerous one, at that. Yes, the celebrities that are Scientologists all appear to be happy with it, but that is because there are exceptions for them: Celebrity Scientologists are exempted from a lot of the insane beep other Scientologists have to go through, mainly because the Scientology bigwigs want their money, but also because they're useful for recruiting - with their influence, the happier they seem to be, the more people think "Wow, that seems good", until they actually get into it.
Seriously, do you know any thing about the organization known as the Church of Scientology? Your quote above seems to suggest that you do not. I don't mean to be condescending, or rude, and I hope that I haven't been, but you should at least do some reading before you comment. There are several countries in Europe (notably the U.K., France, and Germany) whose governments have either banned Scientology within their borders, or attempted to do so, or they have denied/attempted to deny the Church of Scientology status as a religion or church.
My point is, saying "Scientology is no different than most other religions on the planet" is either mi sguided/ignorant, or willfully disingenuous (which it doesn't seem to be, and I certainly hope it isn't).
There are many sites (a good number of them run by former Scientologists, a good number of whom are now cut off from their families because of leaving the organization) denouncing the cult, and giving an inside look into some of their more barbaric practices. Look into it, and educate yourself, and others. Having said that, however, take everything you read ANYWHERE with a grain of salt, and form your own opinions.
Cheers

Excellent post metalboy.
Many years ago the Scientologists were having an event at their headquarters on Sunset Blvd. It was creepy they had put up fences so that those driving by couldn't see in.
They put up large screens and you could someone shouting, it was like something out of Nazi Germany.
There have been several deaths associated with this group including a young woman who was held against her will at Florida motel. -

<< Any claimed religion that charges a price for admission is not a religion. >>
I have to say, this is a really weird thing about that "church". Basically, members take scores of classes/trainings.which can end up costing hunndreds of thousands of dollars over the years.
All churches want to get into the pockets of their members.but are usually more subtle about it, and stop at the standard 10% tithing of income.
alot of people only care about a actors acting ability and not their personal lives so its a real shame for her.
