Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — John Ritter

    Kranadon65 — 9 years ago(April 25, 2016 07:28 PM)

I loved John Ritter in his heyday but when he was doing 8 Simple Rules ,
he looked beaten up. I mean warranted he had been ill but he was only in his fifties and he looked like a man much older and his face looked really swollen.

Ritter was warned by his agent in the 70's to NOT get fat. Ritter held the fat at bay for years but unfortunately age and an unhealthy lifestyle caught up with him in later years.
              Shall we play a game?

W1c84hat a disgusting comment! John was very handsome up until his final years, when he was suffering from an undiagnosed heart condition! You are a sick person.

His heart didn't give out, John died from an aortic dissection/aneurysm. Often not survivable unless recognized very early and the dissection does not progress rapidly. He was a great comedian and actor. I looked him up just now because I watched a rerun of the 1972 episode of MAS*H where he plays the small part of Pvt. Carter ("Deal Me Out") Rest in Peace John
