Yeah, though it is sad when people like Lucille Ball and Peter Boyle die, they were old and lived good lives.
I always get bummed out thinking about John, it was so tragic and sudden. Phil Hartman is sad to think about, I almost get depressed when I really do. Such a great, funny guy brought down in such a cruel way. Chris Farley is sad, because if he had kept straight he may be here today.

all of them!! Plus, Phil Hartman was shot by his own wife, who then took her own life. Drugs do weird things 2 people.

Bruce Lee would have to be number 1 eventhough he was before my time. Bruce Lee would've gone on to become the BIGGEST MOVIE STAR IN THE WORLD if he lived.
He was THAT charismatic. Chris Farley sucked too because he was hilarious. Also singer Laura Branigan and Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot. Of course these are people besides John. -

To chocolatemilkshakedream on the "78 or older" thing: Exactly
now, did somebody say that this thread was only about people who died young???
(Then again, it does sort of alarm me when people are collecting up lists of
celebrities who died youngone starts to wonder, is that really a list that
those people would have wanted to be on???)
My list of celebrity deaths (all ages!!!):
Old movie stars (who died old or oldish, not young):
Katharine Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn
Danny Kaye
Gene Kelly
Cary Grant (I like him not because he was handsome, which he was,
but because he was funny, which he REALLY was, but not many people
seem to know that, somehow!!!)
(and many more, of course!!!)
Old TV show stars (who died at various ages):
Elizabeth Montgomery and several other
Bewitched
stars
Hayden Rorke (Dr. Bellows from
I Dream of Jeannie
)
Practically everyone in
I Love Lucy
(but I assume
that the various Little Ricky actors are all still alive! ^^)
Famous movie actresses who died youngish:
Natalie Wood
Grace Kelly (Princess Grace)
Child actresses who died in childhood:
Heather O'Rourke (the
Poltergeist
movies, the last of which was finished
after she died)
Judith Barsi (voice actress,
All Dogs Go to Heaven
and the original
Land
Before Time
, both of which were released after her death) (her father
murdered her, which is really sad!)
Royalty:
Princess Diana
(and Princess Grace, already mentioned above)
Actor for several decades, recently made popular again by Harry Potter movies:
Richard Harris
Young actor:
Jonathan Brandis (suicide, 2003)
Little-known, but good, young actress from long-ago Disney stuff:
Janet Munro (Katie from
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
)
(she was also in
Third Man on the Mountain
[the Disney movie
about the Matterhorn, which inspired the Disneyland ride The Matterhorn
(oddly enough, I never thought of the ride having been inspired by the movie,
until I heard/read that somewhere, even though I had seen the movie a few times
[I don't know, I guess I just thought that Disney wanted to make a Matterhorn
ride because he thought that mountains were adventurous or somethingwhich
he probably did (going by his making a movie about people climbing the Matterhorn!)])])
Last year:
Steve Irwin (why I mind very much is mostly because of his family members
left behind, especially his wife and kidsalso he was a funny guy too,
most people thought of him as the Crocodile Hunter, I never paid much attention
to him until around the time he died, but I started watching his shows last
year and found out that he was funnyalso that he did stuff for a LOT of
kinds of animals [including mammals ^^], not just crocodiles and other
reptiles! [somebody should've told me sooner that he did stuff for and with
koalas and kangaroos and suchlike! ^^])
This year:
Madeleine L'Engle (author)
Lloyd Alexander (author)
Tommy Makem (singer/musician, Irish stuff mostly, probably most famous
decades ago but was still performing as of fairly recently)
In the past several years:
Elizabeth Goudge (author)
Joan Aiken (author)
Vera Chapman (author)
Pope John Paul II
(Those last several were all old. Is there something wrong with remembering
them anyway? ^^) (Moral of the story: die young, if you really want to get
noticed/remembered? @_@)
I'm sure there are probably more, I just can't think of everyone at once

To Spider-Lou-2: I noticed that about Aaliyah's deaththat HAD to have
been one of the most quickly-forgotten deaths in history!!! (And to think
I was worried that Aaliyah's death would eclipse Princess Diana's death
[same time of year, four years earlier]. Apparently I was worrying about
the wrong thing. Oh, well.)
