That’s a nice story. Generally, it would not have ended well for Dudley, and it would have been chuck roast city, here we come. But I’m glad it ended well.

You're totally right, and that's what I was thinking. I've heard of farmers intentionally hobbling their farm animals "to keep them from running away". It's a sordid and cruel practice. True, Dudley wouldn't have had a chance in most situations. It's stories like these and places like these and of course, it's people like these who give me a little spark of faith in humanity.
