That made me smile so big! The stark contrast between him hobbling in when they first got him and then afterwards, was astonishing. The way he hopped around and began to fully play with all of his body, and all of his personality, it just melted my heart! Seeing him be able to run and socialize with the other rescues and even find his own companion.
You can feel the love this couple has for their rescues. They exude it! Their compassion is so beautiful.

She recently posted a video of her applying sunscreen to the ears of one of her rescue pigs to protect them. They are so involved with their rescues. I definitely understand your sympathies. Not a bit of meat in my fridge or freezer; just vegetarian food.

Thatβs a nice story. Generally, it would not have ended well for Dudley, and it would have been chuck roast city, here we come. But Iβm glad it ended well.

You're totally right, and that's what I was thinking. I've heard of farmers intentionally hobbling their farm animals "to keep them from running away". It's a sordid and cruel practice. True, Dudley wouldn't have had a chance in most situations. It's stories like these and places like these and of course, it's people like these who give me a little spark of faith in humanity.
